The Real Reason For Bush's Frozen Stare During My Pet Goat

In my home we think the second he was told about the attack Bush instantly remembered the Aug. 16th briefing and knew immediately what had happened and who did it and that he had screwed up big time. The look of panic was fear of being blamed. He wasn't thinking about the country or anyone else...typically, his concern was solely for himself.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x1844599

Just because 0bama only cares about how things impact him personally, does not mean that Bush is like that.
You goons bash him for staying calm, finishing the story then quietly leaving. He was clearly concerned about the kids there and didn't want to frighten them.

For years you have bitched about the 7 minutes yet, after Ft Hood was attacked how many days did it take 0bama to say anything? Then, when he finally did it took 2 minutes before he got to the shootings, he opened up with a shout out to someone at the event he was at.

I think the frantic hopping from military base to military base that day reflects the fear that he was the next target.

It also explains why he went into the school after being notified that the first plane had hit the towers. It was the second plane that had him hopping!

More LIHOP bullshit.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

**** off DU...seriously go to hell.  I watched the documentary on National Geographic earlier today (I recorded it from Sunday). Bush is more presidential that Obama could ever hope to be. Also, the man you call an idiot didn't use a teleprompter, didn't use any notes and didn't stutter.  Unlike "the smartest man in the world".

Get ready to really start bashing the next President DUmmies, because it's not going to be Obama. I'll bet the house on it.

I'm tired of this 9-11 conspiracy crap -

So tired of it, I have decided to start a new one..

9-11 was LIHOP, but not by Bush --

It was LIHOP by Gore & Clinton as revenge for 'Stealing the election' -- discuss.

Makes sense to me, Miskie.  It was also done to make the job of president as difficult as possible.

Then it will Diebold, stolen elections, fraud, and on and on, in other words DU will be exactly like they were from 2001 through 2009.

I think the frantic hopping from military base to military base that day reflects the fear that he was the next target.

It also explains why he went into the school after being notified that the first plane had hit the towers. It was the second plane that had him hopping!

Hey, you all of little brain, go read this. I wanted to post this when we got it in office the other day and just haven't had the time:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/story/2011-08-25/-Air-Force-One-pilots-911-mission-Keep-president-safe/50138134/1

Let me point out some key things for the pointed hog:

Quote
Tillman says. "Pretty much any major military attack, I knew exactly what to do with the president and where to take him to keep him safe.

"This was different. This was an attack from within. We had the president who didn't want to follow our plans for a nuclear attack, which is hide him, keep him safe and allow continuity of government."

Doesn't sound like a man that was 'hopping' but his protectors had to until he finally forced their hand to something moderately acceptable to do otherwise.

Quote
There was no doubt about an attack when terrorists smashed United Airlines Flight 175 into the south tower. Tillman watched on television as White House chief of staff Andrew Card relayed the news to Bush, who was reading My Pet Goat with schoolchildren. America is under attack, Card told the president.

I don't know about those retards, but if I was in charge of this great nation, that would be pretty difficult for me to hear too and my thoughts would start taking me to the next scenario...something a leader should be doing...thinking ahead.  As for you all thinking could of, should of, would of...if he did a damn thing to anyone of middle eastern decent you'd have been the first jackasses to be calling racism of some kind...I know that as sure as I'm sitting in a wooden chair.  :bird:

Quote
Bush wanted to return to Washington. Tillman's training, instinct and advice from White House aides was to stay away until the capital had been secured. There were airliners unaccounted for, and terrorists had seized San Francisco-bound United Airlines Flight 93 after takeoff from Newark, N.J., apparently intending to attack the city.

Yeah, he was trying to run and hide alright.  :whatever:

All told, the president was landing at Andrews Air Force Base THAT DAY in what amounted to a work day. Considering the flight time to get from point A to point B, he was 'hidden' for maybe 3 hours total and that was only possible with the urging of his advisors and the pilot entrusted with his safety and trained to accomodate that.  :whatever:

Finally:
Quote
He recalls Bush fondly. The president took an interest in his family, he says, asking after son Patrick and daughters Erinn and Reilly.

"Total respect for him," Tillman says. "To this day, I'd do anything in the world for him."

Damn, that evil cowardly Bush :whatever:

Go read the story from his Air Force One pilot, BEG. I had the pleasure of reading it at work and finally ahd the opportunity to post it here. You may not agree with all his policies, but Bush was a good, decent man, that to me is never in question.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

And if 9/11 had happened under Obama, the only tears he'd shed would be for the golf courses that were destroyed.
