Did Hedge Funds Throw The 2008 Election?
« on: August 23, 2011, 05:50:11 AM »
This could have been posted in politics or economics. I split the difference and put it here.

We have all heard the griping and likely participated ourselves, grousing over the price of gas. Why do we bother anyway, we all know it's George Bush's fault, right? Right?

Jeff Lukens over at CFP makes the argument that there may be more to it. Makes sense to me, being that oil is a commodity which is traded on the markets like any other.

I think I'm going to have to agree with the Libtards on this one. It is all George's fault! George Soros, that is...

On Monday, Sept 15, Lehman filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy while other lending institutions lined up like dominoes teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. On Thursday of that week, a $550 billion electronic run on banks occurred within an hour or two, going mostly to offshore accounts. Instantly, there became a liquidity crisis within the banking industry. In an unprecedented move, the Treasury and the Federal Reserve had to act together to stop what had become a full-fledged panic. No one has ever investigated who withdrew the money or to where it went.
Maybe someone should look into this. If I remember correctly this was the major reason people like Paul Ryan voted for TARP 1.

The policies that are indorsed by this party, that they backer of which are much of the 1 percent, causes a social structure much like the one back before the Revolution.

George, the Arabs or the Joooos.

When in doubt, always go with the Joooos, they're out numbered.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
