Fiscally speaking California is hemorrhaging red ink. They are beyond broke yet in Sacramento the city higher ups feel they deserve salaries that range into the stratosphere. Where the hell do they think the money is coming from?
How on earth do the residents there put up with this?
City manager's annual salary and perks soon to spike up to $305,940 under new contract.

How else do these pubic servants establish their net worth to themselves?
To their way of thinking, it's all about THEM. Screw the state.
