Egg and Cheese prices.. but we aren't in a recession
I nearly fainted in the dairy section today. I understand we are having a drought and that makes hens lay fewer eggs and cows give less milk, but this IS INFLATION.

When you go to the store, and can't buy staples for the same price as last month, let alone last year, THAT's inflation.

Who is going to step up to the plate and say, "Yes, the price of every damn thing necessary, like utilities, groceries, fuel and health insurance has gone up."

At the DUmp, commercial dairy and egg farms depend on rainwater to maintain their stock.

Hens lay brown eggs during a draught.

Hey, they'll believe anything.... :rotf:

If you don't believe me, just look at what they put in the Whitehouse.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

10. Try shopping at

Aldi's. Reasonable prices and so far no big price increases. This is owned by 2 German brothers.

Certain economists and politicians believe the only way out of this financial mess is INFLATION....makes no sense to me, but I'm not rich. And we know that the Rich call the shots.

Yep! and they sell Vanilla Wafers for $1.49.

I've thinking for years that that was the plan all along.

In the last 50 years prices of things have gone up to a point about 10 times what they were then. My DUmb country brain now values the dollar as about 10% of what it was worth 50 years ago.

43. No kidding.

SIX BUCKS for a carton of Breyer's or Edy's ice cream, when not on sale. Five bucks-plus for a ****ing jar of mayonnaise!!! $4.50 for a lousy box of cereal. If it's not on sale, and I don't have a coupon, I don't buy it. Wish I had chickens, or knew someone who did.

Where the heck do these people shop? I live on the East Coast where everything is expensive yet items like this when they go on sale are great prices and if you have a coupon it's even better.

grocery stores have put compactors on their dumpsters for 20 years now

the days of free groceries out back behind the grocery store have been gone for a very long time

(i actually participated in diving back in the day so it amuses me to see the poseurs come out and claim to be doing something they would never have the gonads to do in real life)

The grocery stores here have fences or locks on the dumpsters to keep the DUmmies out. If some dumpster diving DUmmie gets sick or dies from their garbarge some damn lawyer will sue them.

Used car salesmen are rising higher and higher up the ladder of respectability every day. You know, soon they be above the president and just below the Pope.

Five bucks-plus for a ****ing jar of mayonnaise!!!

I don't pay that much, but the mayonnaise I buy is in jars for eating only.
Wouldn't want to share a jar with DUmmy GoCubsGo.

They only shop at grocery stores that are owned by liberals, staffed by union workers, and likely infested with earwigs.

That reminds me, except for one half-assed post, we've seen nothing of ol' earwig cali since she was walldone.
I still say she should move a few miles east, and go to work at the Rindge, NH city hall.
They have an opening, and everyone in town, except for DUmmy Raven, works there.

Sav-A-Lot - Bought a 22 oz box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch for $2.49, a pound of  and a bottle of Wishbone Italian Dressing for $1.29.

Gas station down the street - bought a gallon of milk for $2.59.

Aldis - bought a 2 lb bag of stir-fry veggies for $2.99. Going back tomorrow for 4 lbs of chicken wings for $6.

Family Dollar - A pound of caramel striped shortbread cookies, $1.29

I shop around at a few select stores, hit what's on sale, and feed two people quite well for under $50 a week. Legally and morally.

Liberals pretend to like science and utterly detest math!
Capitalism is based on self-interest and self-esteem; it holds integrity and trustworthiness as cardinal virtues and makes them pay off in the marketplace, thus demanding that men survive by means of virtue, not vices. It is this superlatively moral system that the welfare statists propose to improve upon by means of preventative law, snooping bureaucrats, and the chronic goad of fear.

Not to quibble or anything - but the current POTUS makes used car salesman look like shining examples of humanity.

 :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Such young people in here today.   Most were not born when Nixon was president and gave a speech that caused a rollicking laugh about the nation.

The question he addressed was the big jump in meat prices, he, Poor man, replied that people that could not afford meat should buy cheese.

This President was so divorced from the public he had no idea that pound for pound cheese was at that time more expensive then some meats.
