DU'ers get in touch with their inner TEA Party terrorist

For the last few weeks we've heard nothing except that a failure to vote for a clean debt ceiling bill was terrorism because without that clean bill the government could never afford to pay for policing our air, water, roads and food supply.

Without food inspectors we were effectively poisoning people, killing them and that made us terrorists.

All those arguments about the government being too burdensome were just RW piffle to scare the masses. There is no fat to trim. Everything is abre bones so slighting so much as 1% would kill millions.

Bin Laden cackles from the grave in delight of what the TEA Party hath wrought.

Girl's lemonade stand shut down

CORALVILLE, Iowa (AP) — Police closed down a lemonade stand in Coralville last week, telling its 4-year-old operator and her dad that she didn't have a permit.

An officer told Abigail Krutsinger's father on Friday that she couldn't run the stand as RAGBRAI bicyclers poured into Coralville.

A city ordinance says food vendors must apply for a permit and get a health inspection.

Abigail's dad, Dustin Krutsinger, said the ordinance and its enforcers are going too far if they force a 4-year-old to abandon her lemonade stand.

Thank goodness we have these fine, upstanding pigs cops to go after real criminals shut down lemonade stands when our food supply is becoming evermore toxic due to lack of inspection budget for the good of Americans everywhere!

Seeing how this happened in Iowa, it was probably "Big Corn" that pushed for the crackdown.  I'm sure that little girl was using sugar and not HFCS to sweeten her lemonade.

It may have been sugar, but odds are it was Murkin Big Sugar, sugar made from sugar beets.

I haven't heard the police called "pigs" since the 60s. It was a black guy with a huge Afro, yelling at Sgt. Joe Friday.

All our "toxic" food seems to work pretty well at piling the fat layers onto the quarter-ton LVL.

This is a very interesting post. Unless I'm misreading it this DUmmie is complaining about too much bureaucracy and regulations (see the blue text) and, at the same time, complaining about not enough bureaucracy and regulations (see the red text). Brilliant! We've got too much bureaucracy and regulations and not enough bureaucracy and regulations.

You have to remember, this is a guy who doesn't work because of morbid, terminal obesity, but who is contemplating a career as a dietary consultant, if he ever loses enough weight to fit through the door.

I was actually thinking about this today. I'm beginning to think that in their minds they think they are employed. We normal folks do stuff (work) and get paid (from employers, clients, etc). They get paid (from the government), and they do stuff (bitch, moan, groan, rant on DU, smoke dope). I think that in their feeble minds they think they are productive members of society with a job.
