The Best FB Status I have seen in a long time...

Someone posted a great FB status (and I used it) so I thought I'd share this one I saw:

Let's get this straight: I don't particularly care why they need help, if they're drug addled, if they're lazy and sick, crippled, any of it. My interest in feeding the hungry and clothing the shirtless does not exist because I think THEY'RE particularly good people. It exists because I know I am. ~Pop Pop =)

Hey that's a great attitude, only problem is, you want to reach into someone else's pocket to do it. When you reach in your own pocket, then you can brag how great you are.

14. What a wonderful inspiration! Here is my take on it:

I simply don't care why they need help - whether they're addicted, lazy, sick or just unlucky - it really doesn't matter. I do not feed the hungry or clothe the ragged because it's good for them, or even because it's good for me. I do it because they are me, and because I am them.

Yep you are so generous with money that belongs to other people.

It just amazes me that they think they are heroic or something because they support the govt taking money from other people and handing it out. When they start digging in their own pockets and handing out cash, then I might be impressed.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

I am oh-so-thankful I have not seen a FB friend post something like that.

Does that post mean someone will buy me clothes if I walk around naked?  I'd like a new wardrobe.

I'll save the guys some time.

This post is worthless without pictures.

;)

I always chuckled and felt uncomfortable when I heard people say Liberalism is a mental disorder, but if it walks like a duck talks like a duck and acts like moron it is a moron.

Yes, it's oh so noble and generous and high-minded.  Not their money.  Personally, I DO care if they're drug-addled or just plain lazy.  Just Plain Rotten Luck I can sympathize with.  I don't want to work my ass off for the likes of Taverner, DainBramaged, or God Help me, Blindpig.   :bird:

Liberalism, when you care enough to steal someone else's money to give to a lazy, drug addled moocher.

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

BTW, DUmbshit, I refuse to "donate" to the Christmas "Help this "poor" family" BS we do at work. Why? When I see that the mother is size 26, the kids are all XXL, including 5 YO's, I wonder, WHERE THE HELL DO THEY GET ENOUGH FOOD TO ALL BE THAT FAT!?

...with other people's money, and that's not charity. If you wanted to feed the hungry and cloth the shirtless, you'd right a check and leave it there. ...but you don't, do you? It's someone else's responsibility, ain't it? You just want to take the credit like the good little Liberal you are. ...and pray they vote the same way you do.

You Dim idiots don't give a **** about the poor, homeless and shirtless; you're trying to buy votes with other people's money.
