Ahhh, the joys of austerity: Rationing comes to Britain's National Health Service

from the Independent UK:

Hip replacements, cataract surgery and tonsil removal are among operations now being rationed in a bid to save the NHS money.

Two-thirds of health trusts in England are rationing treatments for "non-urgent" conditions as part of the drive to reduce costs in the NHS by £20bn over the next four years. One in three primary-care trusts (PCTs) has expanded the list of procedures it will restrict funding to in the past 12 months.

.....(snip).....

The alarming figures emerged from a survey of 111 PCTs by the health-service magazine GP, using the Freedom of Information Act.

Doctors are known to be concerned about how the new rationing is working – and how it will affect their relationships with patients. ...........(more)

2. Does anyone really wonder at the "co-incidences" of "austerity" being promoted

in so many countries, including this one, in such a short time?

3. I would think that the big money boys have their hands

in the pockets of most governments
it is all about control and greed
Notice it is always the banks that
are the cause of the problems

5. Yeah, we know what they were talking about

At this year's Builderberg Meeting.

It's always the rich that are to blame, never socialism.

The first sentence of that OP, pretty much said it all.
Think about it DUmmies.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

And to think here in the Merika, evil greedy doctors remove tonsils, amputate limbs, and do all kinds of expensive procedures just to get the money to buy another private jet, then have the nerve to demand a tax break. [0bama mode off]

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

In my region, anyone who uses Indian Health Services wonders why the rest of the country wants government health care.  Mismanaged funds = lack of supplies, run down facilities.  Bureaucratic policies = poor quality of work, lack of choice in all areas of your care.

The oft repeated failed policies of the regressives is always due to some outside evil force.  The failure is never due to the flaws of their concepts.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
