I joined another board where members of any political leaning can join and I've spent all my time trying to explain communism and socialism to people who think Obama is a Marxist. At least here the people are mostly intelligent.

I think debating the different merits of societies is a very fascinating intellectual argument. Somehow the tea party idiots are connecting the debate to communism fear. I am stunned whenever they say Obama is a "Marxist Nazi". They were exact polar opposites. Knee-jerk reactions about the social safety net are very unhelpful.

The tea party idiots are smart enough to realize that we can't spend our way out of trouble.
Which is more than I can say for the sooper geniuses at DUmmyland.

Socialism is what Marxism is called when it fails. Communism is what Socialism is called when it fails. Fascism is what arises when Marxism in all its iterations is shown to be illusion.

There is nothing to debate.

It's like debating the merits of owning a Porsche versus an interdimensional vehicle that exists at all points in space-time at once.

Bullshit.  Having nothing to counter demonstrable facts time after time, and looking like an idiot when all you have left is to shout "NAZI!" and stomp off in a huff like the pResident after another failed debt ceiling negotiation has got to be more painful to an egotistic, self-centered ass such as yourself then getting a root canal a day for a whole year, sans anesthetic.

Marxisim is little more then a theory or grand wish of Utopia.
Socialism is what it is when attempted to be implimented.
Communisim is what rises when human nature dooms socialism to failure but power hungry despots are determined to keep it going.
