Three naked men arrested in Salem, taken to hospital for drug treatment

Three naked men were arrested in northeast Salem Sunday after they were reported to police for fighting with each other, according to the Salem Police Department. The men told police they took "10 hits of LSD," or lysergic acid diethylamide, authorities said.

Officers first found 24-year-old Jon M. Johnson, of Lyons, naked and lying in the road, police said. Johnson violently resisted the officers, who told him he was under arrest. The officers tried to subdue Johnson unsuccessfully with pepper spray and a Taser and by hitting his legs with a baton. Eventually, enough officers arrived to take him into custody, according to Salem police.

Neighbors told police that another naked man was in their backyard, authorities said. Officers found 22-year-old Brandon L. Gile, of Salem, in the backyard. Gile also physically resisted the officers, and police knocked him to the ground to take him into custody.

Police said they arrested a third naked man, 22-year-old John C. Morrison of Lyons, without incident. ...
