Is this History or Memorex
« on: July 09, 2011, 08:40:23 AM »
In my warped mind, you can fill in the 'blanks' and see history repeat itself--- example 1;

"The fact is that the ________ habit of economizing in the use of truth pulls the foundation out from under their own  defences.  Lying has always been a highly approved ________ technique.   __________ in ______________, advocated mendacity as a policy.  ___________________ admits the use of the "diplomatic lie."

One person said this, but it sure applies now - it will be interesting to see the different changes.

Example 2;  "They all speak with a ________ double talk with which to deceive the unwary."

The answer to it's true author and time period will be posted later.

yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery - today is a gift- that's why it's called the "present"

Example #1;

The fact is that the Nazi habit.....a highly approved Nazi technique.

Example #2

Hitler, in 'Mein Kampf', advocated.....  VonRibbentrop admits.....

....speak with a Nazi double.....

Both of these where part of the closing speech made by Chief Justice Jackson at the Nuremberg Trials.  Unfortunately, in my opinion, this has become the standard operating procedure of lying and double talk our own politicians and leaders constantly use today, not learning anything from the past, and we have accepted it -- so who's fault is it?
