How's this for Family Values.....   Updated at 9:51 PM

There is a real possibility that Mrs. WCGreen and I might have to get a divorce because we are almost at the point where we can't afford all my medical bills.

But then again, the Family Value crew over there on the right want to do everything to shore up the family.

Them gays, illegal immigrants, gun stealing liberals and high taxes are destroying the very fabric of the american family.

As if.

You see if we get divorced, I can get extra help from the government because I will be below the poverty level, totally dependent on my disability payments from SSI. Together, we make enough to live reasonably comfortable if I didn't have a life threatening disease...

right now, just to cover our "normal" medical expenses, we are shelling out almost 17% of our gross income. If something is added on top of that, as it most likely will given my delicate condition, we are cooked.

So thanks to them family value guys and gals, my wife and I, who have been married for 23 years last Saturday, may have to get a divorce so I can live a few more years...

What a country!

Wasn't it the left that set up the conditions for getting help from the govt?
And I could have sworn the big bill that Nancy Pelosi said we had to pass to see what is in it was going to fix all the health care worries.
You know like when 0bama said that premiums would drop by 3000% and we all would get raises.

5. Your marriage is in the heart. No one can destroy that but you.

If getting a divorce saves your life then divorce is a very good thing. Good for you for getting around the ****ing rules.

Nothing like condoning fraud on a public message board.  :-)
Besides rules are for the little people, not the sooper geniuses at DU.

But it just gauls me that the GOP has such a warped sense of what is really important...

Yep the GOP set it up that way just so you would have to do this. Damn that Rove guy thinks of everything to ruin your lives.

I also wonder why he is on disability in the first place, his being a DUmmy makes me automatically suspicious.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

DUmmy WCGreen is of course a DUmmy, so you can bet that every word from his mouth is a lie, but DUmmies love to scheme ways to defraud the taxpayers, and it always makes for a popular thread.

If DUmmy WCGreen becomes as ill as he claims, and some day he likely will, the problem will be resolved by God with no criminal fraud required.

A WCGreenless world will be a better place for all those who survive him.

Seems to me that the GOP have worked fairly hard in trying to reduce taxes for married couples and allow tax-free medical savings for bills like this.  The lovely Dims are the ones that have decided to start taxing money spent for medicines again, and to strictly limit the amount of medical spending that qualifies to be tax-free.

The lovely Dims are the ones that have backed "safety" measures that run up medical costs astronomically with almost no gain to patients, legal liabilities that cause doctors to have to quadruple their charges just to stay in business, and have so rapidly escalated the deficit that no one will be able to afford medical care soon.

Before our Dims invented their moronic attempt at helping the poor, also known as Medicare and Medicaid, doctors actually could afford to do charity work...and did.  Now that doctors are forced to do charity work for our government (since Medicare and Medicaid average payout is about 65% of the cost of treatment), few doctors can actually afford to do much charity work...and many have been advised not to, due to legal and insurance concerns.

Not to mention the minor issue that Obamacare adds a large tax burden to everyone, especially the poor.  But it's all the fault of the GOP, right?   ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

But it just gauls me that the GOP has such a warped sense of what is really important...

First of all: it's "galls" as in "creates bitterness". The Gauls were an ancient Celtic tribe that engaged in numerous wars against the Romans in general and Julius Caesar in particular and they mostly came out the worst for it before meta-morphing and metastasizing into the overfed dainties known as the French.

Oh wait, maybe you were right the first time.

Secondly, America's divorce laws and marriage penalties are outgrowths of feminist politics. If marriage is too undervalued it isn't the RW's fault.

But if you were honest for 5 minutes you'd admit the OP isn't about your marriage as much as it is about you want other people to pay your way.

Marriage is, by one-half of its definition, a social compact wherein two people (of opposite gender) agree to mutually support each other even--and especially--in times when their situation is extreme. The principle of marriage presupposes moments of sickness and, poverty. That's why it is in the vows.

Third, again by liberal policies, no one can be made bankrupt from non-payment of medical expenses. It's the law that you have to be treated regardless of ability to pay.

Which is why people go to the doctor and don't pay...

So the doctor passes on the costs...

So your expenses are high.

You should enjoy what you have earned through your tireless efforts.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

I strongly suggest that Mrs. WCGreen contest the divorce should it come to that point.  I mean, we're talking about love here, till death do us part and all the romance that goes with a lifelong relationship.  Besides that, contact me after he kills over and I'll spot you $10.

If she's not married, can she still visit him in his hospital room?

McGreenjeans is setting us up. He already has a fraudulent disability lifestyle. She is leaving him because he's burning all that free govt money for recreational drugs.

ZERO BONG
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Why no, she can't. As we've learned from the DUmp's flaming homos, spouses are the only visitors allowed by the hospitals that admit DUmmies.
