Republicans should be called Terrorists for their threat to refuse to raise the Debt Ceiling

Edited on Thu Jul-07-11 06:45 PM by DaveofCali
They should be branded for what they are: Terrorists, threatening to bring down the United States economy UNLESS Obama and the Democrats give in to their demands. This is worse than what many other terrorists do around the world.

Of course though, Republicans trying to do everything they can to prevent the economy from improving so that they can bring Obama down is not only bullying, its TREASON. It's a betrayal of a Political Party to its Nation to intentionally harm America and millions of people that will be a victim of it just for an attempt of political gain. This is not the United States of Republicans, it's the United States of America. Republicans don't own this country, and they betray their mandate to govern, purely for political gain.

Republicans should be called out on their terrorism so Americans will know just how crazy the Republican Party is if Americans go into default in August 2nd.

Good grief the crap these idiots come up with.
If what the repukes are doing is terrorism then 0bama must be a terrorist as well, he is doing his best to destroy our economy so he can rebuild it in his own image.

1. I was just going to post the same thing and name them AL QAEDA REPUBLICANS.

They're looking to achieve the exact same goal as Bin Laden - collapse the US economy for their own personal and political gain.

They are so backwards at DUmmyland, they say the folks who are currently trying to save what is left of our economy are the ones trying to kill it.
These morons do not realize that if we keep spending like 0bama and his buddies want too that our economy will collapse.

4. They want the default to occur. If they vote to raise the debt ceiling the Teabaggers will

vote them out of office.

No we want the govt to quit spending away our future.
It's about damn time that the govt is forced to live within its means.

5. The flip side is that we are terrorizing future generations by burying them under piles of debt.

Lousy freeper troll.

6. Defaulting would INCREASE debt more not lessen it in any way.

And continuing to spend will do what? That's right you cartoon character, it will INCREASE the debt.

11. I oppose irresponsible government...why have a debt ceiling, if it doesn't mean anything?

BTW, I wasn't here then.

Enjoy your short stay at DUmmyland.

14. Who started piling up this debt other than the Bush administration?

Who began his administration with a budget surplus, but ran up record deficits with tax cuts for the wealthy and two unfunded wars?

We are under piles of debt that he started. Do you acknowledge that??

Just reverting back to taxing the upperclass the way it was done in the fifties and sixties would take care of these high deficits.

Oh, and by the way, Social Security and Medicare have not contributed to the deficit, yet they're on the table.

Yep all Bush's fault, including the spending from 2007 to 2010.

15. My reading of the Constitution would seem to indicate the the legislative branch

is responsible for spending. The executive branch does not have that authority.

There is more from this "troll" I suggest y'all go look at the thread at the DUmp before Winston Smith makes him an unperson.

We keep raising the debt ceiling and we still are in debt. May as well default and that's fine with me.

To be fair, they've already bastardized the word "racist" so that it now means nothing.  Why not start on "terrorist"?

Dave, Dave, you are so behind the powercurve on DemonRat talking points...didn't you guys already move past mere 'Racist' and 'Traitor' to 'Terrorist' on the Conservatives quite awhile ago?  Get with the program, and actually read the scripts they mail you with those donation requests.

And as far as terrorism really goes, I think the DemonRat ads showing the old lady being thrown off the cliff are a lot closer to it than anything the GOP has ever done.

Okay DUmmies, time for some RealEkonomik 101.

You have an income of $60,000 per year.  Not bad.  But you have expenses/spending of $100,000 per year, meaning you have to borrow 40 percent of what you spend.  You've done this for so long you have cumulative debts of nearly $500,000.  Not good.

Ask yourself this question--if I were a bank, do you think for ONE SECOND that I'd loan you MORE money, knowing full well that all I'm doing is only going to lead to greater levels of debt for you, which you'll expect me to finance, with little to no hope of ever recouping my principal, let alone the MILLIONS in interest that such debt would incur over a few decades?

So why do you find no problem with the government doing this on a scale that is quite literally TENS OF MILLIONS of times larger than the example I just gave you?

I haven't had enough coffee this morning to deal with this much stupid.

48What about this guy that voted against raising the debt ceiling, as did 48 of 51l of the senate democrats.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means tha…See Moret ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better"

Senator Barack Heusein Obama, 2006
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Dummies, and I know you turds lurk here, tell me how this works and that it's any different than what the DUmborats want.

You have a credit card. You jack up the debt on it to the limit. You have serious trouble making the payments. You want the credit card company to raise your limit so you can make the payments by using the same credit card.

Does this sound good?
