For every spending cut that the repigs refuse to answer with an appropriate tax hike

Take it off the table!

They won't give up tax breaks on jets? Fine. Give old people their food back.

They won't give up welfare for the oil companies? Give the kids their healthcare back.

You get the idea.

The poor are being hit HARD...in food and healthcare...yet the republicans are reluctant to take away luxuries for the rich.

Personally--when I have to cut my budget at home...food and healthcare are the LAST cuts I make. So why were they the first in these "negotiations"?

Only a couple of other primitives at this campfire, "k&r"ing the thing.

I've been really disappointed with Ms. Ed, the unappellated eohippus, lately.

She was a whole lot better when she was enthusiastically promoting infanticide.

The third popular attack is that somehow oil and gas industry isn’t paying its fair share in taxes.  Democrat mythology aside, the oil and gas industry pays a much heftier percentage of net income in taxes (41.1%) than the average of all other S&P Industrials (26.5%).   Every single day, the industry is sending more than $85 million to the U.S. Treasury for taxes and royalty payments.  Yes, the energy companies are profitable, but their profit margins are right in line with manufacturing, aerospace, and food industries, while computer, pharmaceutical, and the beverage companies have triple the net income margins of traditional energy.

I think they are paying more than their fair share.

Question. Has Obama even submitted a budget since being elected? If not, how about this DUmmie shut her hole until President 49 Handicap submits one that is under a trillion dollars.

I want some more stories about her nitwit slutty daughter, and her move from the single-wide into the falling-down farmhouse.

Yeah, that would be nice, too.

I can't figure out why the DUmbass is not the  world's number one negotiator. BRILLIANT!!!

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

The poor are being hit HARD...in food

Just the other day at the grocery store, I saw a food stamp recipient put down one of those expensive boxes full of one ounce bags full of different types of chips, and pick up a solitary family-size bag of Cheetos.

I saw another one put down the twin pack of lobster tail, and pick up a single lobster tail.

Times are tough for the poor.

I thought Obama's stimulus gave the tax breaks on the jets?  Oh yeah, I just took an old person's food the other day. I said, "Go to Walmart and buy yourself some damn cat food old lady!".

It's amazing how Obama only has to mention something, i.e. "welfare for oil companies" or "corporate jets" and these yammering parrots run around repeating it at every turn.

BTW - Lurkers, for every corporate exec flying on a jet there are pilots, attendants, ground crew, maintenance, etc servicing that jet earning wages that are pretty darned good. This is the same story as Clinton's "luxury tax" that devastated the US yacht industry.

Why do you hate working class people so much you refuse to learn from the history of living memory?

That is exactly right. Being just a normal nice guy, I've never owned a jet, but I've had the great privilege of making countless trips on small corporate jets, and it's true that every one of them supports the jobs of countless ground support staff. The only jobs missing are flight attendants. I've never been on one big enough to have a stewardess, but they always carry two pilots, and the co-pilot serves that function.

The efficiency and convenience is mind-boggling. Pull out of your garage at 7 a.m., and be sitting in a meeting room 500 miles away by 9 a.m. Try that with Southwest. On one trip a few years ago, we were on a Citation II, all ready to go, when they spun up the engines and discovered some electronic sensor doodad wasn't working. No problem. A hangar next door had a similar Citation II that wasn't busy, so the two ground crews got together with a screwdriver, and within 30 minutes had the malfunctioning doodad removed, and a good doodad from the next-door jet installed, and away we went. On a commercial flight, an incident like that would be hours of delay at best.

However nice DUmmies imagine it to be to travel on a corporate jet, it's actually much nicer. Their envy and their hatred of people fortunate enough to travel that way are among the factors that make it even better, now that I think of it.

I wish it were possible for every DUmmy to take just one trip on a Gulfstream, or a Lear, or a Citation, so they could see what a great way to travel it is. The hatred they feel now would double.

Of course, every time I've been on a small jet, it's been for a legitimate business reason. Rich guys use them for vacation and recreation. I hate those guys.
