Dear Skinner,
I don't know if you have read many of my posts but I have been pretty vocal about some issues at my school. Really terrible food mostly but some other posts that could probably get me in a little bit of hot water.
A few weeks ago, in a meeting, my supervisor brought up one of my DU posts. I think she was had googled a news article and my post came up and that is how she found the article. But, I know I have shared enough information that if they continue to try to look at my posts they will be able to identify me.
Over the past weeks I have been in a quandry what to do. My general attitude is that I have every right to share my story with people but I have been critical in ways that would get me called out and the pressure of that hanging over me is causing me some emotional distress.
I have tried to keep writing posts about my education experiences but every time I do not I begin to worry that I am digging my own grave. I also have to consider that if I get myself fired or transferred to a new school, my class and staff will be hurt as will my family.
Is it possible to have my profile and past writings deleted? I hate to do it, I am very proud of some of my posts, but I think I have no choice.
I will rejoin DU with a new name and continue to write but have decided that I need to be much less candid about my job and where I work.
I hope this is possible. I have a pretty stressful job as it is and the worry that I may have gone to far on DU has been making the stress worse.
I look forward to your response and, while I have your ear, I love your website. I feel greatly empowered and more knowledgeable since I have found it. DU is where I know go for news and for conversation.
Thank you! Snoutport

1. There is no way to mass-delete a bunch of posts.
If there is a small number, you can email me a list of links and I can manually delete them.
You can hide your profile in the DU options page.
Now, this is stupid, really stupid.
If the snoutpout primitive were
confident in all that he wrote, he wouldn't even worry about it.
If the snoutpout primitive were
honest in all that he wrote, he wouldn't even worry about it.
Now, if the snoutpout primitive were to be lying or slandering or exaggerating, which franksolich (and possibly others) personally believes the snoutpout primitive is doing, then he
should worry about it, and therefore strive to be confident and honest in what he writes.
Yeah, sure, once in a while someone says something off-the-cuff and later regrets it.
franksolich has said a great many stupid or ridiculous things he later regretted saying, but franksolich has never asked that such comments be deleted or hidden. franksolich shows, warts and all.
I kindly suggest the snoutpout primitive emulate franksolich's confidence and honesty.
