Went to get repairs on my car today and their TV
   
What a surprise! No news stations although they have satellite TV - what did I see is unfreaking unabelievable - get ready............. they had the Discovery channel set on their big flat screen TV. Some guy tried to change it to FOX, couldn't do it! I told the guy at the counter how great something refreshing, he laughed - he said it is set for Discovery and National Geographic. That is the best. Now this is a place I will return. I have neaver been there before but I like their policy.

That was a nice touch claiming some teabagger tried to put it on Fox, but the Tee Vee wouldn't let him.

I hate to break it to the DUmmie, but according to my source FoxNews and the VRWC Tech Labs are working on making FoxNews the default channel on TVs. They should have it implemented sometime in the first quarter of 2012.

The way it works is that when you turn the TV off and then back on the channel that comes up is FoxNews. If you leave your TV on for four hours without adjusting the channel or volume it automatically switches to FoxNews.

For those of you who think that you're safe because you already have a TV and have no plans to purchase a new one, think again if you have an internet connection. According to the same source, by mid-2012 they plan to have the ability to program your existing TV to the FoxNews default setting via your internet connection.

But I thought they hated Discovery Networks too...

They boycotted them for Sarah Palin's Alaska, The Military Channel, Their refusal to accept man made global warming without presenting a counterpoint argument as well - they also boycotted them for assorted series that highlight weaponry, death and destruction.

We go through Cablevision and the default station was Channel 2 (CBS) but we have the ability to make whatever station we want the default, so all of our TV's are set to Fox as the default.

When I go to get my car serviced, I usually bring a book along. Even when I don't, I don't go to get my car serviced to watch TV, I go to get my car serviced.

When I go to McDonald's, I don't go to watch TV, I go to get some food.

When I want to watch Fox News, I go home where my TV is.
