If Republicans had not stolen the election in 2000...?

Edited on Wed Jun-01-11 03:31 PM by kentuck
Would we be $14 trillion dollars in debt today?

Would we even be discussing cutting Medicare?

Would we be talking about not raising the debt limit?

Would we be in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Would our economy be doing much better right now?

Would the economic collapse have happened in 2008?

Would the WTC have been bombed on 9/11?

Nobody can say that none of the above would not have happened if the Democrats had been in charge but evidence points strongly in that direction...

4. we would've been vastly better off if the Republicans had not been in power

there is no doubt in my mind that we would not have illegally invaded Iraq, lied about WMDs and tortured people as national security policy.

to me, the first decade of this century marked the death of democracy in America. The Bush/Cheney era will be remembered like one of the syphilitic Caesars back in the Roman Empire.

maybe resurrection is a possibility for a nation - but I don't see how when we've got pols pushing the same bad policies onto the American people.

Well let's see under Obama, We invaded Libya Illegally (using your definition of illegal)

7. I think it is useful to remember why we are where we are...

...and it was not Barack Obama's fault. Many people remember as far back as 2000.

Ok Kentuck tell us one thing Obama has done to improve the situation.

17. Then Roberts & Ailito would not be on the SCOTUS

and we wouldn't have the conservative activist court we have today....

 :lmao: :lmao:

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

I suspect there would have been a run on Rosetta Stone's Arabic lanuguage CDs.

I take issue with that, the freaking NY Times did a recount and Gore lost!

Would we be $14 trillion dollars in debt today?

After seeing how much Obama has added to it? I'd say we'd be more in debt.

Quote
Would we even be discussing cutting Medicare?

No, the Democrats would just ignore it until it couldn't be ignored anymore.

Quote
Would we be talking about not raising the debt limit?

Yippee, allow for more debt!

Quote
Would we be in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Possibly.

Would our economy be doing much better right now?

You see how much it tanked since the Democrats took over in 2007, and you have the nerve to ask that question? seriously?

Quote
Would the economic collapse have happened in 2008?

Since a lot of the collapse was caused by people getting mortgages who should never of gotten them, I'd say yes.

Quote
Would the WTC have been bombed on 9/11?

Well Bill Clinton let Osama go at least 3 times according to Monsoor Ijaz, so I'd say it's a pretty good bet it would've happened, but would the US response of been the same? would they go after the problem? or would they of just let it go?

Would you be a dumb-ass?
Yup
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

No such thing as a conservative "activist".
Conservatives tend to work with things that made this country great and what it earned.
Without conservatives, you wouldn't have, what you have, now.
Without us, dear socialist, your children will live a life of misery and servatude.

BTW, bite me, hiker.

Stupid p.o.s.
