A whiny, bitchy post by the brain-damaged DUmbass unexpectedly turns into one of the funniest threads in days! I was reading through it, getting progressively more irritated at the whining pussies, and suddenly found myself reading some hilarious gems:

I bought a bag of Chip's Ahoy today, it's been a couple of years
They used to be a paper bag with resealable folding wire closures with two rows in separate bags and weighed 22.5 oz.
Today, a plastic bah with the 'resealable' adhesive top, 15.25 oz. and no individual wrappers on the rows of cookies. They are thinner and don't taste as good. And they cost $2.99, more than the old-style bag used to be on sale for only two years ago.
The world is going to hell in a hand basket........

7. Yep. I feel your loss.
Chocolate candy bars used to my thing. Not the more expensive stuff I buy today, but the stuff from my childhood. REESE'S Peanut Butter Cups, Heath and Almond Joy's[sic]. The reward for many a days[sic] hard labor when I was a child. Now they're either nasty tasting or tiny or both. It's been at least a decade since I was able to buy one and let the old familiar flavors walk me down memory lane.
Check it out, DUmmy:

10. They also have HFCS in them now.
I don't believe that was the case when I ate them as a kid. Shame. So many things just aren't the same anymore.
You "don't believe", DUmmy, because it's immpossible to tell the difference. HFCS and cane sugar are identical in taste and chemistry. The difference is that one is made by American industry and the other is made by Fidel Castro. I wonder where beet sugar falls in the DUmp's political nutrition list.

14. Seems like it is the way of the world these days
Most everything is smaller and either more expensive or tastes like crap.
This whole thread reminds me of a sig line quote someone here was using:
"The idiot who praises with enthusiastic tone / Every century but this, and every country but his own."

15. Quite a bit of the products we buy these days taste nothing like they used to taste.
Oreo cookies are a classic example.
Nothing tastes the same to taste buds affected by illegal pharmaceuticals.

and yogurt is an chemical-sweet soup.

I grabbed a bag of Fritos in the store this morning (this is true so help me) without looking at the price...when I got home I looked at the cash register tape and discovered I had paid 3 bucks (2.99 + 9.25% tax to be exact) for 10.5 ounces of fried corn mush strips. I like them but not enough to ever buy them again!
I've bought a bag of Fritos every week for years. Love 'em. I have no idea what they cost.

I seriously recommend switching to Keebler Sandies (both the
chocolate and pecan). Those elves know what in the **** they are doing.
