President Obama: "Geronimo was the code name for bin Laden"
President Obama just said that duirng the "60 Minutes" interview.
That ends the "debate" on what the code name "Geronimo" stood for.
Some have insisted "Geronimo" was just the code name for the military operation and not the code name for Osama bin Laden.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x1066210 DUmmies were predictably outraged to hear bin Laden referred to as "Geronimo" by the heroic SEALs. Never mind its appropriateness, considering that America's turn-of-the-century noble savages and today's dirty, smelly muzzie terrorists share a similar regard for personal hygiene.

2. Is there anything new about the military or administration reaching out to those who objected?

7. Reaching out?
For what? This PC bullshit is getting to be too much!
As a matter of fact, I would not be surprised in the least to hear the Kenyan apologizing for that code word being used. The pussification of the democrat party has progressed far beyond the point necessary for that to happen.

12. If someone says they're offended, is it "PC" to listen to them?
Or, you know, common courtesy?

14. I don't agree with your disrespectful attack on Native American organizations.
Belittling Native Americans who objected to using the term "Geronimo" to describe Osama bin Laden demonstrates more disrespect of American Indians and their history.
I believe they are owed a sincere apology by the administration
The term is entirely appropriate. We got Geronimo and put him in a zoo, and we got bin Laden and fed him to the crabs.

22. Apologies are rarely sincere if they are demanded
BTW I'm Native American and I don't give a shit if I get an apology or not but I'm not as precious as some

16. If you're talking about the peanut gallery, he said....
Anybody who thinks obl got anything other than what he deserved, need to have their heads examined.
No peanut gallery (I think DUmmy Kahuna lurks here). We've only seen the peanut gallery once or twice since Rahm went back to Chicago, and once it was the 101st Airborne, so that doesn't count.

9. Keep spittting on people you have no respect for, then DEMAND they vote for your candidate.
Such SMART politics.
I have ZERO interest in "debating" you on this.. this is more of the calling voters the "R" word, and it is time to just be honest and say you don't want our votes.
If your candidate is reflected in your words, then none of us have any use for him.
If not...then maybe you need to consider if you are helping him or hindering him.
Until then... SToP insulting people!
Good bye... this really tore it. Your name will look very good on my ignore list.
The iggy list!

26. The real Geronimo was NOT a terrorist.
It's a ****ing insult to Native Americans to use that as a code for OBL.
Actually, in the 1880s, Geronimo was absolutely a terrorist.
