Overheard today at the library...

I work in a library and while patrons are waiting in line many watch CNN that we have on. A patron was in line and I overheard her comment to no one in particular "I don't believe {OBL} is really dead and I won't until I see proof. I mean, Obama keeps lying about his birth certificate, this is just to distract us."

It took every single ounce of will power to keep my mouth tightly closed and not hand her a roll of tin foil for a new hat. And here I thought I was safe from the most insane of the Repugnants at a library...

7. We are an "Information resource Center"
   
We have a news channel on all day, quietly so it can only be heard while at the circ desk or if you check out the wireless headphones (which nobody ever does....1000 bucks wasted). We also have 50+ computers, a teen room with a PS3, a Wii, and Super Nintendo.


Oh did I mention that this is a federal library? Your tax bucks at work! Give the military families all this stuff, but we MUST defund planned parenthood to fix our budget!!!

The average military family sacrifices a lot for this country, how dare you even try to compare them to hippies who want free abortions?

There's nothing we can do about them. They seem to remain a consistently small number, rarely growing to a size that might challenge us, and even then quickly collapsing into well-deserved obscurity.
