The Democratic Party is committing suicide right before our eyes.

They seem to have no idea what they stand for or what they should stand for. They are swimming with the current.

If the Repubs and their media friends say the deficits are too high and we need to cut Medicare or Social Security, Democrats ask how they can find the middle ground? They have no desire to defend any of the programs that Democrats fought so hard to get for so many years.

They now work in "gangs". They find the most conservative Democrats to go with the most obstinate Republicans and look to work out a deal. Nothing good this way comes.

Democrats in Washington have lost their way. At this late minute, the President takes on the wealthy and their taxcuts. Oh, but if we had fought the battle when it was in front of us instead of surrendering, we would be in such a better position right now.

What do Democrats believe in? Do they believe in protecting our elderly? Do they believe in helping our poor? Do they believe in helping the sick? Do you know for sure? Without any doubts?

The current is getting much stronger. Only the strong will survive. Many will drown. Whose side are you on?

5. more hyperbole and overwrought verbiage

I'm pretty disgusted with many of the DC dems but the party is hardly committing suicide. And there are a lot of dems fighting the good fight in DC. The Progressive Caucus, for example.

9. Are they a significant opposing gravity from the Third Way Corporatist?

If not then fighting the good fight is not significantly effective in influencing the direction of the party.

I'd also argue that when they have the chance to exert power and project strength inside the party they always fold and give the Third Way crappers their way.

Yeah, there is a relatively healthy portion of the party but they have very limited power over the dead and dying parts and what power they have they will not use.

Simply said they don't ever say no and they never walk away from the table and they sure as hell never kill a bill or at least force concessions.

In the end they pout and do what leadership says.

10. yes. bernie sanders and peter welch most certainly are.

and no, they don't pout or always follow leadership. not by a long shot. granted, I have what may well be the best congressional delegation in the Congress.

I dunno.  It seems to me Bernie drools and salivas a lot, that characteristic of old age.
apres moi, le deluge

Milo Yiannopoulos "It has been obvious since 2016 that Trump carries an anointing of some kind. My American friends, are you so blind to reason, and deaf to Heaven? Can he do all this, and cannot get a crown? This man is your King. Coronate him, and watch every devil shriek, and every demon howl."

What amazes me is, the Ryan plan is bending over backwards trying to save medicare, and social security.
What do the Democrats and the primitives do? That's right they cry and whine.
It's this shortsightedness that got us in this mess in the first place.

On a side note: Hearing Obama all of a sudden saying, "We can't spend more than we take in", is like the DUmmies telling people to just say NO to drugs.

 :mental:
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.
