markpkessinger (611 posts) Fri Apr-22-11 07:02 AMOriginal message Who didn't see this one coming? U.S. role in Libyan conflict widensWhat was that the President said when this started? "This will be a matter of days, not weeks?" I had a feeling that was a bald-faced lie when he said it, but I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. But as far as I'm concerned at this point, it's just another example of his duplicity.Disgusting! And then he gets up and gets all pious about "shared sacrifice." There's sure plenty of money available to spend in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and now Libya, isn't there? I am so, so sick of this shit.

Were you sick of him when he was on national television pretending to look under chairs and sofas for weapons of mass destruction? If that didn't make you sick you should not be sick of Obama who inherited all that crap. Libya is not over yet but he will do all he can to see that it comes out okay.

asjr (1000+ posts) Fri Apr-22-11 09:21 AMResponse to Reply #3 5. What do you mean do I know where I am posting?
TheKentuckian (1000+ posts) Fri Apr-22-11 09:25 AMResponse to Reply #5 6. Well then, who wasn't at the very least sick of Bush? Why did you imply that the poster was fine with Bush's leadership on the military adventures but is now going after Obama?
asjr (1000+ posts) Fri Apr-22-11 09:37 AMResponse to Reply #6 8. Now you are a mind reader? I implied no such thing. I was using DU as a site to be used to state opinions and feelings. I do that often. The whole intent was rhetorical. Do you jump on every poster here if you do not like what is said?
TheKentuckian (1000+ posts) Fri Apr-22-11 10:28 AMResponse to Reply #8 9. Your "rhetorical" response seems strange in context and yeah, if I disagree a poster will often be "jumped on".Happens all the time on discussion boards, people disagree they call you on it. Sometimes people jump in when they agree.
Donnachaidh (1000+ posts) Fri Apr-22-11 11:02 AMResponse to Reply #110. oh, so because Bush did it *more*, Obama gets a pass? How are things in grade school...? after which the stupid "sarcasm" tag again
asjr (1000+ posts) Fri Apr-22-11 12:28 PMResponse to Reply #10 11. Your lack of manners is apparent. Maybe the rudeness you display makes you feel good. Your reply speaks more about grade school than anything I have seen. Second grade?
GeorgeGist (1000+ posts) Fri Apr-22-11 01:07 PMResponse to Reply #1 12. So you agree ... that Obama is no better than Bush.

Le Taz Hot (1000+ posts) Fri Apr-22-11 09:33 AMResponse to Original message 7. I particularly liked the part in the speech about how he has NO IDEA why the price of gas has gone up so drastically and he intends on forming a task force (made up of oil and refinery executives no doubt) to get to the bottom of this! Funny, here I am, in sunny California with nothing but a computer and an internet connection and even *I* understand the concept of spec buying.
eleny (1000+ posts) Fri Apr-22-11 01:12 PMResponse to Reply #7 13. The image of Poppy Bush learning about grocery scanners came to mind How in the ham fat can a president be oblivious to why the price of a major commodity has escalated dramatically.
