So, anyway, DUmmy nutcase nadin has made countless references to her combat experience, while discussing the many reasons she's superior to anyone at the DUmp, or anyplace else. There has been speculation on what she's talking about, but until now, no one knew for sure. Maybe the Mexican narco-war (she's a DUmmy, so it's not clear which side she would be on)? Maybe something in the Balkans? Well, it turns out, her combat involves little characters sort of like a bunch of mini-G.I. Joes:

Well this weekend we had the second edition of Kingdon Con, a really small con here in San Diego, but one that is growing. So for your feasting eyes, here are the best photos of the shit load I took, of the Flames of war tourney. There are some close ups, some done from the level of the units in the field... you know the drill.

It was a well attended and contested tourney by the way.

Oh and in case you are wondering, no I don't play in them any more. But hey, somebody has to stand behind the camera. And this way you can also enjoy them as it were.

Toy soldiers! Toy paramedics! Damn! Another DUmp hero comes crashing down. Bev, Pitt, Breck Girl, Holy Joe, nutcase nadin. It's enough to bring a tear to your eye.

I would be ashamed, to say the least, of displaying dime store model soldiers on Twitter when the real life soldiers I'm busy disparaging on DUmmieworld are in harm's way.
But then, I am not an addlepated dimwitted, albeit self-professed know it all expert on every subject imaginable.

Hey nadin, maybe you can help me out here, what kind of weapons are those and how proficient are you on them?

I mean, they don't LOOK like M-16's or M-4's.  What are those--AK's?  SKS?  FN's?  Do you even know the ****ing differences in the weapons I just mentioned, you lowlife scrunt?

Seriously, go hug a reactor--while it's critical at power.

Flames of War is a WWII miniature game using 15mm toy (metal) soldiers at a 1:1 manning scale. It's not a bad recreation of the war as games go, and it looks good on the table. The figures in question in nadin's picture are Russian Infantry, and so they would be armed with the mosin-nagant 91/30 7.62x54 bolt action rifle and squad leaders would have the PPS-41 SMG in 7.62x25 Nagant.

Check out the game on thier web-site, pretty good scenarios and articles really.

She's proficient with all weapons, personally inventing many of them.  She posted one photo of herself in full battle dress:

Well, I'm sure she got the hair color right, at least.

Miniatures gaming can be fun and even instructional to a degree as long you remember that even the best simulation falls short of reality, so the results are often artifacts of particular rules or algorithms rather than a reflection of what would actually happen.

Wargaming has roots in both the very professional Prussian staff school Kriegspiel sandtable exercises of the late Nineteenth Century, as well as the totally nerdy playing-with-toys book of H. G. Wells in his Little Wars of slightly later.

You could have fired it with the stock against your back.  It would have knocked your back right in two, maybe three shots. :fuelfire:

With the stock that Reb has on that one, the recoil would probably be less.
