Tell what got you banned.

It was my very first post. And I never tried again.

I commented that I didn't think Ann Coulter seemed very nice.

Oh the irony.
NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. I have no doubt that some have been banned.
It would be interesting to see their actual post.
I'm quite sure it would be far different than what they describe.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Do they not know you can go over to FR and search every post a user makes over there?  Not that I would expect them to be honest and use the same names.

Ah DUmmies, doing it wrong for 10 years now. My mole hasn't been caught in a year at the DUmp. Mainly cause he doesn't post much, but maybe he should work on that.

I reallly don't bother with FR, it's the only site I can think of that rivals DU for horrible format.  Seems to also have a lot of extreme tight-asses.

Agreed.   I asked for the zot in the latest Jim Robinson embarrassing meltdown.

Tons of excellent, smart people over there. It's unfortunate that the proprietor is a nut, because many of the members are first rate. I'm afraid that by this time next year, it will have become a libertarian ronbot/randbot asylum.

Well bless your heart. You ought to sign up here. The folks here surely will not ban you for saying something as calm and polite as Ann Coulter doesn't seem very nice.

Don't believe me? Watch this.

Hello moderators and fellow CC members. I've watched Ann Coulter and at times she came be bitchy.

You'll notice that I've used wording much more harsh than yours. If they don't ban me for saying that then you definitely need to sign up here if you're a true, intelligent liberal. And since you're a member at DU, the self-proclaimed smartest people on the internet, I must assume that you consider yourself a true, intelligent liberal.

If I don't get banned and you don't sign up it can only mean that (1) you're a liar and said much worse than that at Free Republic, (2) you're a scared little coward and know you can't hang with the ignorant "rethugs" here, or (3) both.

So what are you?

If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe

One of the things that scares me most is that there are too many people on our side who don't mind, any more than the left does, of using the feds to impose their will on the entire nation. Either the Constitution means something or it doesn't.

Different sides of the same coin. I swear sometime it was the same people at both places.

I kind of suspected that. In 1999 and 2000 several Freepers were claiming that Bill Clinton was going to declare martial law and stay in office.

Then at DU they claimed that Bush was going to declare marshall [sic] law and stay in office.

I knew a Republican around here that said that very thing about Clinton. He tied it all in to Y2K. He was a bit wild with Y2K. Said it was going to be the end of the world. He bought a huge industrial generator, had closets full of canned goods, bought a large fuel tank and propane tank, and even added another kitchen on to his house. His old kitchen was electric. He added one that was all gas.

I had thought he was joking when it first started. When I told him I was stockpiling my food at the grocery store, my gas at the gas station, and my water in my well he got pretty irate with me. He told me not to expect to come to his house when things hit the fan.
