Do you think a government shutdown could happen after September of this year? The 1995 government shutdowns happened in November and December and September 30 is going to here sooner than later.

It's possible.  Time will tell how hard the GOP wants to fight for more and even deeper budget cuts.  Especially leading into an election year.

I look for them to see which way the political wind is blowing after Friday's budget agreement, before deciding how hard they are willing to push later this year.  I know that I am a bit disappointed with the budget cuts just agreed to and I will let my elected officials know it.  I am glad that the GOP was able to get some budget cuts passed and with the DEMS still controlling the Senate, I wasn't expecting any miracles, but another 10-15 billion would have been nice.

The GOP needs to get ahead of the curve and counteract the fear mongering coming out of the DEM side of the house.
