Poetic justice for Terry Jones

Edited on Mon Apr-04-11 07:30 PM by JohnnyRingo
I don't really condone this, and no sane person resorts to violence because of a protest they don't like. Having prefaced that, this is my fantasy scenario for the attention seeking pastor.

I'd see official word in Afghanistan and elsewhere that this is not how America feels. Explain that this is the actions of one man out of 300mil, Terry Jones, then pass out the address of his church and home to anyone who wants to take up the issue with him personally and leave the rest of us out of it. I believe Jones would pop his head up with somewhat less frequency than Punxatawny Phil.

Conservatives like Jones always like to support the values of "personal responsibility", and this is a great chance for him to find out what that means.

Once again, those who kill for a bible or flag are at least as crazy as those who use it to provoke those emotions, but why should this one idiot help tarnish the global image of all the sane people who live here? As I see it, Jones has made his statement, but now he'll wish to hide behind the nanny state's apron.

On edit: I forgot to mention the best part would be to show him the video of troops handing out his address and photograph to the mobs of flag burning death to America fanatics.

9. Prior to having Terry Jones to scapegoat, who got the blame for the

various atrocities performed by the islamic extremists - the honor killings, stoning of women, killing of gays, whipping (lashing) of children, beheadings, bombings, etc.?

Was all of this done because they could foresee Jones burning a book, which he probably bought at a local store?

Obamanaut reminds me of OMC with the way he tweaks the DUmmies.

My husband and I are having a disagreement on the issue of Jones burning the Koran.  My take is those fundie ****ers would find a different reason to riot and kill, were Jones not in the picture.  Hubby thinks no one should do something so irresponsible, knowing our troops abroad are at increased risk of backlash.

I worry that the MSM is too afraid of negative Muslim sentiment to report on how often these "peaceful" Islamists are rampaging and marauding over the rest of the world, for fear of what?  Fatwas?  Takes a brave person to say publicly how awful and subhuman these murderers are. :argh:

So, they're gonna heap most of the blame on Jones' head.  I think the guy is a fundie ****tard; apparently he's one of the only pastors on Fred Phelps' Christmas card list.  BUT, as obnoxious, revolting and vomit puddle inducing as those two are, neither have murdered anyone.

Man liberals are useful idiots. The enemy of their enemy is their friend. They think they are using Muslims but in reality it's the other way around. They don't take religion seriously and can't understand someone who believes with every fiber of their being in their religion. They side with a group of people that kill people for being gay, or stone a woman for being accused of an affair or even if she was raped. Radical Muslims are so much worse than any of their made up fantasy of what a fundamentalist Christians is, they know deep down inside that truth but wouldnt admit it if their life depended on it.

Not sure if you are under the impression my hubby is a liberal.  He's not; he's a moderate.  He tries to see both sides of an issue.  Me, not so much. :rotf:

I do understand his frustration and anger about the Koran burning causing his friends downrange potentially more trouble, but imo just by being there they're already in plenty of danger.

Totally agree with you, BEG, btw.  Libs consider conservatives in this nation more dangerous than demonstrably crazy people who would as soon slit their throats as be in the same room.  Atheists, women's libbers, LGBT, etc. are all a whole lot better off living here-and if they disagree with me they should pack up and move.  The air would smell sweeter.

He supports gun ownership, small government, secure borders, is appalled at the fact that 47% of tax filers don't pay a dime in federal income tax, he served 30 years in the Army and fought in a few conflicts.

He just doesn't start screaming about illegals ruining our country the way I do, or think burning the Koran was a good idea, given the safety issues for our troops.  I don't think that makes him a liberal.  I've read plenty of liberal postings at the DUmp and he doesn't sound like them at all.

LOL no way you could be married to a liberal idiot.  My husband agrees with 99% of my political views but he isn't as vocal as I am. He doesn't have the time to read all the articles or sit around and watch the news all the time. He doesn't get home from work until 7:30 pm every night and he spends his weekends doing constructive things like working on his '53 Chevy Truck or fixing things around the house. I have the luxury of listening to news all the time, reading articles and posting on this board.

I'll print up some handbills explaining the DUmmies position on this if they'll go over yonder and hand them out.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

I think it was an absolutely stupid thing for this "pastor" to do with our troops in harms way. He also knew that the chances were good that these people would kill someone over what he did. While I hold the murderers responsible, I don't support what this guy has done. Yes he had the right to do it but it doesn't make it a smart move.  That being said, if the burning of the Koran didn't happen, the people who committed the murders would have found another excuse to murder innocent people anyway.

You know what interests me in this ?

The liberals, and how they openly insult Muslims - and are too stupid to realize it. To explain...

"Terry Jones provoked the response...blah blah blah... He should have known better..blah blah blah" -- Its as if Muslims are animals, and are incapable of rational thought,-- like provoking a bear at the zoo by climbing into its habitat and throwing garbage at it.-- The trash isn't going to hurt the bear, and it reacts like an animal...because it is an animal, and incapable of rational thought. Muslims are human beings- and are perfectly capable of reason.

Yet the Democrats go on and on as if they aren't.

They did the same thing involving the woman reporter who was gang-raped in Egypt to the chant of 'Jew-Jew-Jew!' == 'She should have known better' - like the idiot taunting the bear should have known better.

The Muslims who took Jones' actions as an opportunity to slaughter innocent people knew exactly what they were doing - As did the Egyptians. To suggest that they didn't is simply dehumanizing.

And once again, they call not for "poetic justice" on those who actually perpetrated the crime, but rather on the American for "inciting" it.

Same as it was with Iraq while President Bush was in office. They never, ever blamed the insurgents for their murderous acts. If their brave Freedom Fightersâ„¢ detonated a bomb in a marketplace that killed innocents, you wouldn't hear them mention the real killers at all. It was always Boooooosh's fault.

What so enamors them of a bunch of assholes who would cut the heads off liberals first out of any group is just beyond me.

BEG, absolutely agree with  you.  I totally think this guy Jones will have to live with this on his conscience.  I wouldn't want it on mine.
Now, if he'd burned a Bible, he'd be a hero at the DUmp and in the ME, although what he would have done in that case would have been just as reprehensible.

The same libs nitpicking every line in the OT and NT can't fall over themselves enough to demonstrate how utterly worthy of reverence are the contents of the Koran.

It's their line on every subject.  Minorities can't get through school, get through college, or get a job with Democratic assistance.  Without Democrats, all water would be undrinkable and all food would be laden with bacteria.  Without Democrats, all hospitals would be filled with filth and would still accept none but the rich.  Without Democrats, all children would be working for pennies in some factory or mine.  Without Democrats, there would be no public schools, and no education except for the rich.  Without Democrats, there would be no roads, no bridges, no fire trucks.  Without Democrats, no medication would be safe or tested, and no animals would be treated well.  They treat all those that vote for them as though they were too stupid to run their own lives or raise their own children.  They treat all that don't vote for them as though they were too stupid to see the value of roads, fire brigades, schools, medical care, and basic laws.  Their constant refrain is that we would all just fall apart and fail without their red tape and taxes bogging down the entire country.   ::) ::) ::) ::)

We're all just toddlers compared to our elite "masters," you know.  :mental:
