Time to get realistic here.   Obama has said he had a harder job then the president of China----who would of thought ????

In an strange way I feel sorry for Obama, he gained a job for what he was in no way qualified for, has tried his best to change America to his way of thinking, passed laws that were not his to pass, became involved with the infighting of the government for everyones agenda and now has to watch the country implode.

Obviously he trusts the wrong people and makes enemy with those he should trust. This man has to choose to trust those that are for America or those that wish to take us into a 3 rd. world country status.

Obama became President by riding on the backs of wealthy friends and those that are wealthy dregs of society.    He is now behind a rock and a hard place, will he continue to repay favors to those that put him in office or will he have the balls to go on his own.??

Can Obama stand on his own feet and protect America from harm?   Will he awake one morning and send in the National Guard to round up illegals, throw out all illegals of Muslim kind and go after the gangs in the big city's as Teddy Roosevelt did in NY.?

Has our President the fricking guts to lead us to a safe Nation---That is his job, or will he allow us to take things into our own hands.?

You know, Vesta...I kind of feel sorry for him, in a strange way, also.

Sorry may not be the best word...."pity" might be better.

He's going to be right up near the top of the list, or at the top, as one of the most delusional people to ever lead a major world power country. He has no clue what "presidential demeanor" means. He doesn't have it, doesn't know how to get it, and either he does not have anyone to tell him how to get it, or if they have, he obviously hasn't listened.

Going out to play golf this weekend, whether he could do anything specific to help Japan, or not...was just the wrong image to present to the public. Yet, again.

I heard somebody on TV yesterday...can't remember if it was on Fox or another channel....and I only heard part of what the guy was saying as I was working. It was not the show host, but a guest.

He was commenting on the image that Obama presents to the world specific to tragedies. On occasion, Obama has done the right thing by portraying a compassionate president and used the example of the Arizona shootings. However, more often than not he screws up. He used several examples...the disaster in Japan, severe flooding here in TN, the shootings at Fort Hood, and a couple of other incidents...and what Obama's actions were instead.
The guy was saying that those actions not only give the impression to the American people, but also people of other countries, that these disaster/tragedies are just not of concern to Obama.

When I heard on Friday morning, that Obama was going to speak on Japan's tragedy at 12:30, I thought ...good for him, he's taking action, he's going to tell us what the US will be doing to aid Japan, the Japanese and all the Americans that are over there.

He walks out, gets behind the podium, says (paraphrased)..."Japan has had a tragic event, and I am sending 2 carriers to help".

That's it?

He then proceeds to spend the next 55 minutes talking about what he wants regarding his agenda, and blaming those who aren't cooperating.

It was like a neighbor walking over to your house a couple hours after your mother dies, and says...."Hey, sorry about your mother's death, I sent flowers. Oh by the way, I've been working on the school fundraiser, and I just can't get any cooperation!! Do you have time to talk and listen to my complaints?"

In the grand scheme of things...these may not be the most important issues of his presidency. However...to me, this careless disregard of human decency, is indicative of the true person behind the face. Shallow, narcissitic, heartless..are the nicest adjectives I can think of to describe him.

Didn't say I liked him...because I don't. In any way, shape or form.

I just have a tendency to feel sorry for really stupid people...especially when they seem incapable of learning. It's just sad, really.

Neil Cavuto is doing an interview with Donald Trump.

Trump just raked Obama over, for being out playing golf with what's happening in Japan.  :-)

I can give him a pass for his "let them eat cake" attitude in the face of the earthquake/tsunami.  He's already done as much as he can be expected to, by sending the naval vessels, and letting those beneath his paygrade  do the job he's asked them to do.  He was chief among those who wouldn't give President Bush similar consideration in the aftermath of Katrina, but that is neither here nor there in the grand scheme of things.

What I do want his ass on toast for is the fact that gas is in the $3.50 and up range, diesel is damned near as expensive as Jet-A is normally, and the only thing this asshole in a hat can be bothered to do is sell off the country's strategic petroleum reserve?  Nothing else he can think of?  Really? :bigbird:

Well, in the same manner you give him a pass for his laissez-faire attitude vis a vis the Japanese, he's got underlings to think about the price of gasoline and diesel right now.

Nothin' left for him to do except do nine holes.   :whistling:

Ain't he flying down to Rio this weekend?

and on a completely different topic....but related. The DSS in Charlotte N.C. is now paying for peoples car insurance and repairs to said cars. I guess that's as close to putting gas in their tanks as Obama can get.

Except in that case the whole "you can delegate authority, not responsibility" thing comes into play.  Ultimately, other than presenting a sympathetic shoulder for the Japanese Ambassador to cry on, the pResident of the United States has very few responsibilities assigned to him with regard to the sovereign nation of Japan.  Considering that over the past 100 years or so, and especially in the past 3-4 pResidential administrations the federal bureaucracies and the Congress have, line upon line, stripped responsibility for the US Economy from the hands it belongs in (you and me and other business owners of America) and placed it squarely on the shoulders of the pResident.  So, he may have underlings to manage this shitty economy for him, but they ANSWER to him, and I don't see him supervising his economy-managers very well.

I'm relieved to know that he is now focusing on the important issues, Basketball picks.  :mental:

And to think the left wanted to impeach Bush for much less than this.
