Quote
Madison - State officials said Thursday that damage to the marble inside and out the State Capitol would cost an estimated $7.5 million.

Cari Anne Renlund, chief legal counsel for the state Department of Administration, said in Dane County court that estimates of damage to marble includes $6 million to repair damaged marble inside the Capitol, $1 million for damage outside and $500,000 for costs to supervise the damage.

Much of the damage apparently has come from tape used to put up signs and placards at the Capitol.

It was not immediately clear how the estimates were made, though the state is apparently relying on opinions by historical architects, one of whom works for the U.S. Park Service.
I wonder if the U.S.Park Service is Union? Seems like a awful lot for FIXING MARBLE.  :argh: :hammer: Oh I post here, I do not see a full time thread for Wisconsin Union crap.

Bill the unions for it.

Indeed, sir, HI5, for stating the obvious.  Which is why I myself thought of the very same notion. :cheersmate:

I agree....they made the mess, they should pay for it. Every single one of those protesters should!!

The unions should be sent a bill for the ENTIRE cleanup effort. I will say that I don't believe that the tape could have done THAT much damage to the marble. Get some "Goof Off" and go to it. It'd be done in a day or two. Somebody's trying to blow smoke up somebody else's ass.

...Get some "Goof Off" and go to it. It'd be done in a day or two...

According to leftist sources there have been as many as 70,000 Goof-offs in the area over the past 2 weeks or so.  That's been what screwed up the damned marble in the first place.

Funny I don't recall the tea party damaging state capitals.
Yet the left wants to compare, the unions and the goof offs protesting, to them.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Marble is actually a very delicate stone.  It can't take duct tape and idiot hippies with their magic markers and their deifications.

Stupid, stupid, stupid, destructive hippies.

If it's anything like the process for government contracts here - then the contractor adds 200% before submission or doesn't get the job.
