Rock Stars Then & Now
« on: February 23, 2011, 08:44:16 PM »
A slideshow of some of the biggest names in Rock & Roll. How they looked back in the day and how they appear now.
Some of them are definitely showing some high mileage, ranging from rough to downright gnarly. Neil Young looks suspiciously like Michael Moore. Grace Slick, well, no surprise there.
Some are aging remarkably well though such as Pat Benatar and Ted Nugent, growing old gracefully. As much as I disdain Springsteen he is demonstrating some real shelf life so I'll give him his props, if I ran into him on a subway platform I'd likely still give him a nudge... :whistling:

So enjoy- WARNING: LAST CHANCE TO LEAVE YOUR YOUTHFUL MEMORIES RESTING IN PEACE open at your own risk.

Bad nose job?

Meatloaf actually looks better! Bon Jovi still looks quite fine.  :-)

Most of them though, do look awful - but many didn't look that good to begin with. Lot of them have "new" teeth.  :whatever:

Even Rod Stewart, who has long been a favorite of mine, is lookin' old.  :bawl:

For their ages, the following look great:

Stevie Nicks
Pat Benatar
David Bowie
Joan Jett
Ted Nugent
and..Courtney Love looks relatively normal in her up-to-date pic.  Is it real?

How come everyone's noses start to look so weird?

As a high-schooler in the '80s, I was in love with Stevie Nicks.

She wasn't on the list, because she wasn't "rock", but Olivia Newton-John still looks great.

I saw the anniversary concert for the Rumours album a few years back. She looked very hawt but baby got massive back now. Still all-in-all considering her history and age she still looks damn good.  :-)

I was surprised that many looked better "all grown up" than when they were popular.

Man, I hope the members of the "Rolling Stones" got hazard pay.  They all went to heck!

I married for love the first time around. As J Geils said, "First I look at the purse".

If my wife reads this, you know I'm only joking.  O-)

Grace Slick doesn't even look like she ever had a wild side to her body.  She looks like a little old grandmother.

Stevie Nicks is my favorite.  Leather and Lace was my husband (then boyfriend) and my song.

Check out this video of her from way back when. It makes me *sigh* and stare off into nothingness. It's beautiful.

Joan Jett looks fantastic.
