It's hard to tell when you've won a battle if both sides are still shooting. To know which way it will ultimately tip will require finding out what is going on elsewhere in the theatre of war. Think of the scene in Patton where the general takes his cue that the Germans are done based not on the result of the individual skirmish but from the fact the German logisitical effort had broken down to the point where they were reduced to using donkey carts.
So how does the US public around the country view the efforts by the teachers' union?

Colorado prosecutors hassling people is nothing new. The had an old man up for 4 counts of attempted murder against 2 illegals (math is hard!) and they are charging a 13-year old boy with 2nd degree felony assault with a deadly weapon over and airsoft incident that resulted in no injuries.

The boy was, I assume handcuffed for his own protection, the police officers had no idea what they were dealing with here. 11 year old
male and females with a history of any problems be it Physical or Metal have been known to go off ---- as a 3 year old that doesn't want to go to bed. Once they start squirming and flailing about great care must be taken that they do not injure themselves or you for that matter.
11 years old can mean the child weighs anywhere from 50-100 pounds, had he been left free and went bonkers, what were the police to do, shoot him, knock him out ???
I myself would not want one of my children sitting next to a kid of that or any other age that drew pictures of their teachers being murdered.
I keep thinking of the massacres of children in school done by classmates that never showed they had any intent to harm others. After the fact the parents, police find diary's and hand drawn pictures of blood chilling proof that the kid had a problem.
I believe the School and the Police did a fine job for what they could do, sending him off for 3 days observation was a wise move.
I do not know about the kid with the air soft device but I tell you right now I would not want to be a cop who mistakenly kills a child under bad lighting conditions .
Had a couple kids playing a game in the woods mid teens too close to a business. The cops came as the customers had no idea what the 15 year olds were doing. These 15 year olds were big kids, hard to tell if they were adults or youth. Those kids with realistic air guns could have been shot and killed as it was getting dark.
Big uproar their parents were at the 18 TH. Hole having a little drinkie after golf and the shit that came out of their mouths to the papers and everyone involved with the incident's is stupid, " they they hurt no one."--Really, now scaring customers out of a business, causing a few moments of fear for the cops, ---no they physically harmed no one. No problem, move on here folks.
Those parents needed to get down on their knees and thank GOD that their children's actions did not cause them to bury the boys.
