C-Cave is DOWN!!

Don't know if GD is the right place but I wanted the visibility.

CC has been un-accessible between 3 PM and 7 PM PST TODAY. I saw the same last Sunday and Monday around the same times. I tried to PING www.conservativecave.com at the same times and it resolved as a time out. www.google.com was reachable via PING at the same times.

Looks like your domain host is back to their same incompetency again.

Personally, I would not give them a nickle for their 'service'.

Its a difficult thing sometimes balancing between whats cheap and affordable vs whats dependable. That being said nothing is 'a sure' bet 100% of the time.

Personally Ive used 1 &1 Internet Hosting[/url] for several years now with no such probs. However I do use a diff provider for the domain name.

Its the 'kinda hate to put all my eggs in one basket' principal.

Unreachable again just now from 8:08 to 8:13 PM, PST today.

The problem that we had five days ago was a server issue, and not the host.  They repaired it fairly quickly once notified.

Although the server DID require a reboot last night, there was apparently a network issue.  It should be noted that this site has been the target of DoS attacks a couple of times in the past, as has our host.  When a DoS attack occurs, it takes time for the techs at the host to trace and block.

The ticket on last night's outage is still open, and still being investigated, a final resolution has not, as yet, been issued.

Thank you Doc for the update. I am NOT attempting to badmouth the admins and their thankless work at CC. I was just trying to offer a time/date hack as to an outage. The DoS attacks I understand and expect - considering our "alternate clientele".
Additionally, a guy like me, needing his 'multiple-times-a-day' CC fix, I get funky when CC is cut off.

If I am disavowed..."LET THERE BE BLOOD IN THE STREETS!!!111"...erm...never mind!

(do I need professional help?)  :-)

Thank you again Doc and all admins and mods...I will freely give time, money, and pictures of my hands to help. Just ask...

I just returned from Wal Mart - they had Can-O-White Light on sale at $4.99 a gallon. Cheaper than coffee!
