Apparently, Michael Young has requested a trade from the Rangers and Josh Hamilton's contract extension is progressing.

What else is happening around the league with your team or their rivals?

I'd love to see Young come to Anaheim, but I don't think it'll happen.  $48M for a 34-year old player whose range is going to hell at 3B?

But the fact we've got Vernon Wells and improved the bullpen means we'll probably take the AL West again and once again show the Sox/Rays/Twins/Yanks for the paper tigers they are.

My team is in total flux.  No one has any idea how the Madoff mess is going to affect them.  If the Wilpons had an ounce of humility in them, they would say, "Mets fans, we screwed up.  We're selling the team."

But, Chris Young was a decent pickup for them, and early reports on Chris Capuano are rather encouraging.

Do you think Santana will make it the whole season after he comes back in June or July?

Yes, I do.  Also, Chris Capuano went to Terry Collins and said, "I want to work with Sandy Koufax."  So, Koufax was more than happy to work with Capuano on grips and mechanics.
