Giffords Opening Her Eye Like 'Watching a Miracle'

OK this is wonderful this woman is alive and seems to be doing good. I ask the forum a question? What about the others who have been wounded? If she was not a member of congress would they even be treating this as such.

I have to wonder - if it were a republican congressperson and a liberal judge, would the focus be on the judge instead?

What about the shared love that drove the one guy to shield his wife at the cost of his own?  Last name was Stoddard.
