According to CBS News, 58% of those polled in overnight polling do not think shooter was political.
   
They did not think things like Palin's targets or Angle's Second Amendment Remedies had anything to do with Loughner's rampage.

And in Loughner's case, that mental illness is pretty evident.

I recognize mental illness every time I read DU. Anyone who could take a horrible event and try to use it to shut up their opponent has some serious mental issues.
I have documented here on this site in another thread that as soon as the story broke you goons started in with trying to score political points. You did this before the first fact was out there. All that was in the story was a Democratic Congresswoman had been shot. You goons started shooting your mouths off right away about how it had to have been a tea party person. No concern for the victims, no condemnation of the shooter at all in fact the only condemnation was towards the tea party. You people are sick and I hope someday you look yourself in the mirror and realize that there is something wrong with you and get some help. Try showing some humanity for once. Try actually caring about people other than just wanting someone else to help people.

Most Americans looked at the situation and the facts and came to the conclusion that neither the right nor the left caused this psycho to pick up a gun. They recognize that there is something wrong with him and he made a bad choice and others have to pay the price for that choice now.

The target was political the motivation was insanity. I'm pleased that most Americans according to this poll are rational thinking people.

The road they're going down is going to backfire. There are some over there who are calling for reason, and they get shut down and told to **** off.  They wanted to arrest Sarah Palin, and when told there was no legal basis for that, were told to **** off.  Their lunacy is on display for all to see, especially with Rush's little publicity.  This sort of derangement and political haymaking is disgusting to a normal American. 

DUmmies, you are winning no converts.  Except those who are converting away from you.
