What A Great Year!
« on: December 22, 2010, 04:42:49 PM »
Back in January, I transitioned from being a project chemist into computer networking/help-desk. As a result of my employment, I gained the knowledge necessary to pass the Security+ certification, and have now been hired by Logitech as a Help Desk Tech/Backup Jr Network Administrator. It is amazing how quickly things can change in a year. I hope all of you have a blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

Best Regards,

Well, I still can't figure out why someone with a degree in forensic science wouldn't be in hot demand.

And I thought computer experts were a dime a dozen.

Odd, how well that worked out for you, but I'm damned happy it worked out for you, sir!

Merry Christmas, and may it please God that you flourish and prosper.

Does that mean I can ask you questions when I have problems with my keyboard/mouse combo?

Na, I don't think he needs to fix a face-roll on the keyboard.

I had to search for what that meant.  I've never played computer games, because I have enough trouple typing let alone trying to use the keyboard as a game controller.

Unfortunately, forensic chemistry does not have as big a need in Austin, TX. But, I think network security is going to be fun once I break into it full-time. Right now I am just learning as much as I possibly can, and working to get more certifications/get accepted into a Masters program in my new field. Should hopefully be another good year.

It's always wonderful to hear great news - especially these days! So glad that things are continuing to work out for you.

Merry Christmas and may 2011 be an even better year!

This has probably been answered but I'm gonna chance it.  What's wrong, sorta, with Logitech?

And cclan,  Merry Christmas to you and kudos for the ambition!
