Well at the rate we're going, looks like the old tax rates (pre-2001/2003) will be the most likely outcome.

Some Dems have gone on the record saying they want ALL the Bush tax cuts to expire rather than extend them for anyone making over $250K.

Psst...DUmmies--the taxes won't just go up on the "rich".  They'll go up on you too, ****sticks.

It would also seal the end of 0bama's shot at a second term.  His campaign promise of "not one dime of increased taxes yada yada" will become an albatross around his neck.  He blames Bush for the economy knowing that a good portion of the electorate is uninformed enough to buy it, well, they're also uninformed enough to think that he's raised their taxes.  All the evidence they'll need is the higher amount of withholding in their checks.

Yep, we'll be treated to endless loops of "Read my lips, no new taxes" followed by "I don't think we should raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000".  The media can only be asked to ignore so much and the fact is they raised taxes on smokers, most of which make less than the pulled straight from his fourth point of contact $250,000.

If you could convince the DUmmies the 15cent/gallon tax on gas and diesel would cause their pizza and cheetos to go up in price, because it takes DIESEL FUEL in a TRUCK to BRING THE PRODUCTS TO THE STORE, and it takes GAS in a CAR for the pizza delivery guy/gal to BRING YOUR PIZZA, THEN they might see a glimmer of understanding on how the REAL WORLD works.
DUmmies have minds of cement:  thoroughly mixed and permanently set.
