Rabbits run riot in the French countryside (Ptarmigan was right!)

Ptarmy in 3...2...1...   :-)

On a side note...  Rabbits almost made me shoot my dad once.  We had a den of them living in our back yard, and they where wreaking all sorts of havok on our garden.  So he and I go out one night to quell their numbers and get a decent dinner for the next day.

I was about 20 paces ahead of my dad when I see one dart to the right of me, I swing around and track it with my shotgun, trying to lead it when I realize that I've spun a whole 180 degree's and I'm now pointing the shotgun at my father with my finger on the trigger.  Fortunately, I realized my error quickly enough to advert disaster, but I was onto that rabbits game.  Evil bastard.

We decided to call it a night after that incident.  The rabbits slept safely in their beds.

Rabbits and hares have been known to compete with ptarmigans when it comes to food. This has lead to war.

I dunno, I'd think that might be kinda tough on the cereal crops as well as the bunnies.
