Maybe there's something in my water, but I can see how they would think that this monumentous asskicking would be a win for them. There's two ways, actually--1) They didn't lose the Senate; and 2) They think that Obama will be re-elected due to "Republican 'obstructionalism.'"
What they fail to realize is that even though the Republicans can just defund Obamacare, they can't stop the tax increases from taking place. That would require a veto-proof Senate majority, which are two things that the Republicans will work on for 2012.
No, the most they can do is to defund the thing via the House of Representatives, which is where all of the spending legislation has to come from, by the Constitution. It can't be repealled . . .
