Yep, that unpublished Harvard Law Review editor, smartest president in the history of the world, is so far ahead of us mere mortals.  It is sheer genius to lose the 'Kennedy seat' or have centuries of democrat seniority wiped out in 20 months. The whole losing the House by a historical record of the last century and then heading out on a two hundred million dollar junket after those accomplishments is just too hyper smart.

Up is down, left is right, and black is white.  

BTW, your chocolate ration has been increased from thirty to twenty-five grams.

Maybe there's something in my water, but I can see how they would think that this monumentous asskicking would be a win for them.  There's two ways, actually--1) They didn't lose the Senate; and 2) They think that Obama will be re-elected due to "Republican 'obstructionalism.'"

What they fail to realize is that even though the Republicans can just defund Obamacare, they can't stop the tax increases from taking place.  That would require a veto-proof Senate majority, which are two things that the Republicans will work on for 2012.

No, the most they can do is to defund the thing via the House of Representatives, which is where all of the spending legislation has to come from, by the Constitution.  It can't be repealled . . .

. . . yet.  But it will be repealled.

EDIT to CLARIFY: We're all disappointed and nobody will (honestly) argue that Tuesday was a joy and that the White House communication strategy is flawless. But the whole "chess" / "no compromise" thing is so over-done. What do you recommend?

I find this interesting because this primitive is one of the 100% Dear Leader worshipping BOGgers and is some poly sci prof at a second rank college in the Atlanta area.  Naturally, he can see what Dear Leader is doing in ways the rest of us just can't, including many of his fellow primitives, and he's gone to great lengths to tell them this.  Now, after the election results shows that Dear Leader didn't exactly pass the exam, he still wants to argue that his methods weren't to blame, it was those who were grading the test that weren't smart enough to realize his answers were brilliant.
