I missed my chance at a bouncy.
« on: October 31, 2010, 06:07:44 AM »
Was gone from home for a few minutes yesterday and when I came home there were several sheets of paper in the yard. I picked them up and they were all either in support of democrat candidates or 'smut' on the republican candidates. They weren't blown in the yard by wind...there was any wind yesterday.

I would have liked to catch the litter bug. I started to call the county officer that's over illegally dumped trash. Being trashy bastards seems to be a democrat trait.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

I am heavy into home automation, among other things. Some have seen this pic of my home automation closet (under re-wire):

I have six zones around my home, each with a PIR (Passive Infa Red) motion sensor and a camera. When movement in a zone is triggered, the LCD TV picture slide-show monitor, lower right below the plasma flat screen:

switches to that respective camera's view.
The front entry vestibule to my home has a camera, PIR, and outdoor SPEAKER mounted about 12' above the cement steps. When motion in the vestibule is detected, the camera is switched and the wife's pre-recorded voice says over the speaker "Welcome to our North Albany Cat Home. Please NO soliciting and please do NOT leave any solicitation materials." We were getting 3-4 solicitors every day!
So, I am sitting home watching the tube, hear the outdoor speaker, see the monitor change, and watch a 35-40 year-old lady stand at my door, ready to ring the bell, withholds, then stuffs something in my door jam. I wait about 20 minutes to make sure she isn't hiding in the bushes is out of the neighborhood (really), open the door, and after being asked NOT to do so, she left a flier for Peter DeFazio (Oregon socialist pork pig rep.) in my door jam!!!111

I was sooo fracking pissed because I watched her stand on my porch, HEAR the NO SOLICITATION message and left the flier in my door then I see TWO of the same fliers lying on my rain-soaked driveway!

AGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

I called the number for DeFazio's office 45 miles away and told them they had 20 minutes to come back and REMOVE their garbage from my property or I would call the cops and file a complaint for violating the county no solicitation ordnance. I asked the person his name then the smart-assed jerk responded "Mr. DeFazio is a U.S. Congressman, I doubt YOUR police would arrest him!"
"No, but the local newspaper WILL post the letter I am writing to the editor over YOUR blatant disregard for my privacy and county ordinances, your name included!"
I hung up!

About 10 minutes later, the wench returned, picked up the flier I threw on the porch and cleaned up my drive way!

No bouncy and I smiled...
