This action makes me a little weak in the knees.

It is people with courage like these people had that when all the dust has settle from obama trying to destroy our great country, America will still be standing strong.

Exactly! I'm STILL a 9/12'er. Lord Zero hadn't changed that. I'm only stronger now. The trash is gonna start to get taken out come Nov. 2, 2010.
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

You're welcome.  I will do this every year that I am able.

The question remains.  How BAD must a situation be that your choice is to jump from those heights, knowing what the end result will be.

My heart hurts when I think of that.
I kept on thinking that and still do. HOW BAD IS IT WHEN YOU WANT TO JUMP TO YOUR DEATH????? I remember that couple who held hands and jumped out holding hands to their death!  :bawl:

It's bad enough to decide that it's better to die from a jump from 78 floors up...than to be burned alive.

Hell of a choice there.

It's like deciding if you want someone to kill you with a knife or a gun.

Those people who jumped had their survivor mode in full blast. They tried to get away from the smoke and fire. As a result, they fell out of the building. The tenth anniversary is already looming and that will be a big deal for sure.

I watched an hour special last night on Fox about 9/11. I cried and it seemed just like yesterday.  When they talked to a couple of camera guys about people jumping out of the buildings I lost it. I can't imagine what it must be like to have witnessed it IRL. What were those people thinking just before they jumped?  My God, how horrific.

I watched it at midnight for the rerun. I was sitting here sobbing. They showed some footage that somehow I had never seen.

Mine too. I guess either way, they knew they were going to die.

I cannot imagine the fear or pain of burning up.....but I am so terrified of extreme height, I don't know that I would have the courage to jump either. (I would have been one that couldn't have walked or had a desk near a window more than about 10 floors up)

It took me 3 hours to open this thread.  I still have the same anger I did 9 years ago.

KC

Took me a while too....

Thanks TX for posting this....stay safe...

The fact that the DUmmies are saying "Come on man that was 9 years ago it's like ancient history" really pisses me off.  :banghead: :banghead:

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

They've been trying to forget about it since the day after it happened.
