Moonbats At DU and Outside of DU

I notice moonbats outside of DU, like at IMDB or YouTube seem to be younger. Any reasons why DU'ers tend to be older.

DU is a gethering point for most of the anti-establishment/Communist hippies from the 60's. 

IMHO the IMDB kids are either the children of these counter culture burnouts or the students in their classes in HS or College.

I think those IMDB kids are more like students in high school or college from what I sense. You rarely see older adults that are nihilistic. DU seems more popular with the older crowd and it does seem not to attract a younger crowd.

It's a lot easier to be a nihilist or an anarchist when you don't actually own anything (Or at least don't have to pay for anything).  The DUers are old Lefties, Commies, Socialists and other assorted freeloaders, but they mostly all have some kind of a stake in the system even if it's just collecting entitlement program checks.  Runaways from the 'burbs and college students free-riding of parents or others don't have that kind of a stake to anchor an investment in the system.  A certain percentage of college students with giant debt loads even have a stake in its destruction.
