Court Orders Berenson Back to Prison in Peru

LIMA, Peru—A Peruvian court on Wednesday annulled the parole granted to Lori Berenson, an American serving a 20-year sentence for aiding a leftist terrorist group in the 1990s, and ordered her to return to prison.

Deputy Justice Minister Luis Marill said Ms. Berenson, who has about five years left in her sentence, had to return to prison because she hadn't served enough of her sentence to qualify for a reduced term.

Soon after the decision was announced, Ms. Berenson left the U.S. Embassy in Lima, where she had been dealing with paperwork involving her son, and turned herself in to police.

I remember this case, and I remember how stupid and rude she was too.

I notice that the pics that we see of her now show her to be a tad more "thoughtful."  Pretty obvious what's going on--an attempt to gin up sympathy for her.

No sympathy for that scumbag. I like how Peru deals with leftist scum, which America could use right now against leftists and Islamists. We can throw in how Pinochet dealt with the leftists. A barrage of endless brutal torture and facing the firing squad and dumping them into the ocean.
