Sorry, Vesta--but in this case, the parents have a DIRECT responsibility.

1--They allow an 11-year old girl to have uncontrolled access to the Internet WITH A WEBCAM.
2--When TSHTF, they still claim ignorance.
3--Based on said ignorance, they call out the Internet.  Basically, they forgot a simple maxim: In the battle of you versus the world, bet on the world.
4--They STILL claim not to have seen said videos their little angel posted.
5--Based on other items, such as allowing her to go to emo concerts unescorted by any adult, they place virtually NO limits on her behavior.

IOW, shitty parents lead to shitty kids, far more often than good parents lead to shitty kids.

The only purpose these people have on earth is to serve as an example for the rest of us.  May they all enjoy the miserable destiny that surely awaits them.

OH Sparky, all sarcastic and knee jerk reaction aside, I do wonder what and how my kids would have turned out to be like in their youth if they had all that the kids have today.

I am not talking material goodies here but had they been exposed to the life style of this new generation.

Who do we put the blame on for corrupting our kids.?  We could start out blaming MTV and the performers that the kids want to be like dress like and live like.

Just the music of today is oh so different and that Rap is so influential for kids. Kill someone, woman are hoe's etc.

Cable TV, oh goodie now kids can watch in the comfort of their own home blood and gore, hackem slashem movies.  But the kids love them I have heard people say.

Question, why do they love that horror in the first place.

Such changes in just a few years and as we have a difficult time adjusting, the kids take all change as good and normal.

What is the difference between a good parent 35 years ago and one today.?

We trust our children to strangers that control the schools.  What would your parents have done when you were in 8 th. grade and come home with rubbers the school nurse handed out.?

Say your teachers had sent home permission slips to attend a parade on a class trip and later found out you had been brought to a Gay parade and later on told the men in drag were normal and expressing their inner self.?

Worse scenario is your 5 year old sister comes home and asks you father if he has a penis and can she look at it----sex education gone crazy.

We sacrificed vacations and fun times to pay for 4 kids in a Catholic School.  Smartest thing we ever did, it was only when we fell on real hard times and had to place the kids in public schools did I see a change in them that worried me.

If I had to raise kids today, I do not think I would be up to the task. I can not place my kids in a box to keep them unaware of the things I am ignorant of.  What good would that do anyway, sooner or later they would outgrow the box and have no reference point as to reality's of life.

Parents today are at the mercury of the EXPERTS that are out and about to push their own agenda be it good or Evil.

Things have gotten so bad I will not turn the freaking NEWS on the TV when there are preteens in the house.

It all starts in the schools that kids spend hours a day being taught by whoever.  Home time with family takes an hour for supper and a couple more hours for homework.  One hour on the Sabbith with family in Church and a few hours of family time on the weekend can not make as big a difference as all those day in school.

So what do you Sparky think a GOOD parent do , home school, downsize and live in a travel trailer so one parent is all ways home.??

Should a Good parent spend hours a day fighting the school board about the subject matter their kids are being taught ???

Don't forget Sara Palin is a great parent and still one of her kids rebelled and has made a mess of her life.

It is true that when one takes on the world ,the world is sure to win.

Bristol Palin made a mess of her life having a baby?

Are you sure?  So having a baby messes up your life?

It definitely adds some challenges, but I wouldn't say a baby messes up a life.

It changes people. For some people though, they are just as immature as the child.

I don't know Bristol personally, so I will not judge her.
