napi21 (1000+ posts) Sun Jul-04-10 03:02 AMResponse to Original message 1. I chose it sucks. I used to like this Country andI was fairly happy with the way things were going, but it's either getting much worse than it ever was, or I'm getting more info and paying more attention to what' really goig on. Maybe it's a combnation of those, but it feels like it's been such a very long time since I've heard anthing really good, but the bad keeps coming!
Mojambo (1000+ posts) Sun Jul-04-10 03:04 AMResponse to Original message 3. I voted the middle option, but if I could leave I absolutely would.

This is not the country I was born into and I am really concerned as to what it has become and even more concerned as to where it's headed. It seems to me that in the years of Clinton it just moved along. It went so far downhill during the years of Bush that I really wonder if it can even be patched back together.
superduperfarleft (1000+ posts) Sun Jul-04-10 03:18 AM 11. I masturbate to the flag daily. While imagining Ben Franklin going down on himself.
Skip Intro (1000+ posts) Sun Jul-04-10 03:32 AM 14. Love the US, for all it's flaws. To those who "would" leave, I have to ask, what is stopping you? There's a whole world out there, and the door's open.
depakid (1000+ posts) Sun Jul-04-10 03:57 AMResponse to Reply #14 20. Love it or leave it! Actually, it's not that easy to leave if you don't have the right skills, the money or are over a certain age.
KonaKane (1000+ posts) Sun Jul-04-10 04:09 AMResponse to Reply #20 27. Those who could no longer tolerate their nation left with alot less. The history of Ellis Island will show you that one.Honestly, I think alot of this "it sucks" vote is coming from the "I'm so hip, contraire and iconoclastic" brigade. I used to see it all the time in the 8th and 9th graders I taught as a substitute. It's cute, on them at that age.
I'd say what stopping those who 'genuinely'* want to leave are immigration policies that are far, far more difficult to navigate than ours - and policies against illegals that are barbaric by comparison.*Most of the primitives have no intention of going anywhere, even though they claim the desire to.
I say lets change the welfare laws to the point that they either leave, or starve....

Damn! On the 4th of July, too!
Very patriotic bunch, ain't they?
Yeah, ain't they!BTW, I love your handle! Boudicca was the first Amazon Queen! She ended up gettin' her butt whipped, but she sure as hell made the Romans pay before Roman tactics overwhelmed her force. She got suckered into a battle she wasn't prepared to fight. She could have starved 'em out, but her "generals" figured they had overwhelming odds. Big mistake!Still, she was the first female warrior in recorded history that actually picked up a sword and used it!
Violet_Crumble (1000+ posts) Sun Jul-04-10 08:07 AMResponse to Reply #53 58. As an Aussie, I just find passion and love of another country a bit strange... I don't even love Australia, and it's my own country. If I were to grudgingly love another country, however, it'd be the UK coz the weather's grey and drab and everyone forms orderly queues for everything and don't push in.

soon as you find your manhood all else falls into place.
If Ft. Hood was "workplace violence," then the Hindenburg was an air show.
I don't know if sand glows in the dark, but we're gonna find out.
We've seen Violet before, haven't we? IIRC, she's a world-class bitch. Nasty, like a NanceGreggs. BTW, whenever I feel annoyed and need a smile on my face, I just remember the posted pic of Nance glaring in the window at William Shatner. Does the trick every time.
That's what it's at now.Why are people like this allowed to breathe? PLEASE tell me he lives somewhere in Wisconsin.
http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,44666.15.htmlThere ya go, Allo, about 4/5ths of the way down the page. Put on your safety goggles first. I'm sure you saw that the first time?
The sad thing is, after reading a lot about Ben Franklin, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that he tried to do that at least once. His genius is matched by only two things - his insanity, and his love of prostitutes... The USA would not have been the same without him.
