A total of 46 inspections have been carried out to Empresas by officials of the Ministry of Labor, the Integrated National Customs and Tax Administration Service (Seniat), the
Institute for Defense of People in the Access to Goods and Services (Indepabis) and the National Guard, reported Guillermo Bolinaga, the corporate manager of Legal and Regulatory Affairs.
The chief officer attended on Monday a meeting with the members of the Commission of Labor, Trade Union and Professional Association Affairs, National Assembly (AN), to review a complaint filed by some 5,200 ex workers who are requesting the payment of a debt.
For two years, the group of ex workers has requested the company repayment of labor benefits. According to them, Polar failed to fulfill its commitments by replacing the work relationship with a trade relationship, state-run news agency ABN reported.
During the meeting, Bolinaga insisted on saying that 80 percent of the plaintiffs represent a business group.
