I still boycott Exon today. Is there any way to boycott BP?
   
I've seen a few BP gas stations but hardly any.

Where does BP sell their products?

Is it possible to boycott them or is their oil so spread around that it's futile?

i can't post anymore in dummyland.  they won't let me.  but this subject comes up time and time again.  stupid dummys...


no, you are not boycotting exxon, dummy.  in fact, you are probably buying their gas everyday.  you just don't know.  you see many, many years ago, probably before you were born, oil companies figured out that trucking their individual product hither and yon to their gas stations was expensive.


so they entered into the agreement that is known as "exchange."


smart.  very smart.  (i know, something a dummy could never understand and never will.)

if you have a refinery in california and i have mine in ohio, then my gas station trucks will pull product from your tank farm to fill my gas station requirements in california, and i will allow your truckers the same privilege at my tank farm in ohio.  we trade gallon for gallon and save the cost of moving said product.  like i said, very smart.

I know a guy that hauls gas and diesel from a tank farm about 80 miles from here....

When they get a load of fuel, the dispatcher asks what brand you are hauling, so the proper colored dye can be added to it when he loads....

As my dad used to say, Exxon, Mobil, BP, Texaco, whatever.  It all comes from the same spigot....
