The Primitives are dumb, gullible 'morans'.  - I have read many threads over there regarding reconciliation, Republicans and the Public Option, that all involve wailing and gnashing of teeth, such as this post HERE. - The reason I call them dumb, gullible 'morans' is because regardless of the heathcare summit, and Obama's pretty words, there is only one bill - the same bill that went through the Senate on Christmas day. -- That is THE ONLY BILL THERE IS. - yet they keep acting surprised by new things, Republican 'Obstruction' and other ways to shift the blame on bad legislature written for Democrats, by Democrats.

Because that's the way is has to be by law.

The moment anyone changes one letter, one stray mark, or errant punctuation - The bill goes back to the Senate. I've just brought over part of the OP -- read the linked thread to experience Kabuki Theatre for yourselves.

Obama Tells Liberals Public Option Doesn’t Have Votes
March 5, 2010

<snip>
So Representative Lynn Woolsey flipped on the public option. She singing a different tune now! And it sure didn't take much for President Obama to accomplish that. Just a visit to the Oval office was enough. But, I have to wonder if Rahm "sharp elbows" Emanuel had a private discussion with her before she was marched off to the Oval office?

Does anyone care to guess what "reform fixes" will be left in a Senate reconciliation bill that can get 51 votes? I think I know the answer to that. The four Republican proposals to "fix" it that are supported by President Obama including so-called "tort reform". If anything, a "fixed" bill will be even worse than the original Senate bill!

If the House passes the Senate Bill, its all over.

The promises being made to Stupak are a lie. They are not going to "fix it later" except to make it worse and worse.

I don't think* it will pass - because if it could have, it would have already. The longer it takes, the colder feet are going to become. At this point it is an issue where Democrats will have to sacrifice their political lives to The One to make it happen, and I suspect many of them no longer believe he walks on water. -- Already some eleven former 'Yea' votes in the house have already converted their position to 'Nay' over language in the Senate bill that covers abortion as a provided service.

The House barely had the votes to pass their version. They will like the Senate version even less, so I would actually be surprised if it passes the House. Although, there could be plenty of judge seats for Obama to pass out to buy votes.

Yep. The closer they get to gearing up for November, the colder the feet.

Let's hope it doesn't pass.  If it does, in a decade we'll have the worst healthcare system in the industralized world.  And any fixes they make will only accelerate it.  First to worst; yeah for the USA.

Because third world peasant labor is a good thing.

The house cannot constitutionally pass the Senate's bill without killing it and starting over from scratch, because the Constitution requires that all spending bills ORIGINATE in the House.  Conservatives would be lined up around the beltway to take that monstrosity to the USSC just as soon as Lord Zero looked like he was going to put a pen to it.  You know, the same USSC that Lord Zero dissed on national TV during his SOTU address?

SO much of the Constitution has been thrown out I doubt the SCOTUS will do anything.

Ohhh, I don't know; I think after the bullshit Øbama - the "Constitutional Law Prof" - was spewing during the SOTU, Justice Roberts could probably see it in his heart to give extra special consideration of any and every Øbama document that crosses his bench.

We wouldn't want any "erroneous constituitional interpretations" getting out of hand, now would we?  :evillaugh:

lol. Oh yes. Now, I remember. I think they remember that very well. I hope they would take the opportunity to declare all government controlled healthcare unconstitutional. Wouldn't that throw a wrench in their underwear?

Well, I can't think of anything in the Constitution that would permit the Government to require citizens to purchase something from private companies else get fined.

Some of course immediately mention 'what about car insurance ?' to which I reply the government doesn't require anyone to drive.

This is different.

How is it different? The government isn't requiring you to stay living?
