This country is being forced toward fascism
We have the corporations controlling a large majority of congress and the media distorting and controlling the narrative with propaganda. Meet the Press this morning was a prime example. Every time Sebelius would try and explain portions of the health care bill, Gregory would talk over her and spew mistruths and intentional distortions to keep the hysteria and confusion going. Sebilius was noticeably angry. Oh but had she went off on him, there would have been calls for her to resign her position! God knows we can't have understanding of the populus or a functioning government and relative calm.... oh no, that just won't do so the media won' allow it and will not allow the people to have the facts and be properly educated. We are screwed in this country. The media and corporations are at fault and will be this nation's demise. Unfortunately, most people, due to lack of time, lack of intellectual curiousity, etc, get their current events from television. The media and corporations know that and take full advantage!
No one can get through the filter and agenda driven propaganda. The only way to do it is for Obama to get on television constantly, and they won't allow that either. They will beging to immediately deride him again for being on tv too much.
I really have great concern as to the future of this country!
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x7862517I assume that Gregory was calling Sebellius on her BS lies, and that made her pissed.

5. Why government can't come in and take over the industries that are corrupt.
Like the banks and the auto makers? Oh wait, the auto makers is a bad example. He gave control of them to the unions. If there is any thing more corrupt than big business it's unions.

13. Who would be the judge of that? Shades of that nut-case Chavez!
Looked at what that loon has done concerning the banks in Venezuela lately? We need reform BUT do not need rampant nutcases chopping heads left and right.
Freeper Troll alert !!!

4. I'm right with you. Far too many in this country
are far too busy to notice what is happening. Many others still swallow what ever MSM tells them so they're totally mis-lead. It's getting to look pretty hopeless.
Haven't you seen the thousands of TEA Party protesters? They know what Lord Zero is doing.

6. We are just a guilty as the corporations - we support them every time
we buy something from them. And now that they produce even the vital items overseas we have little choice other than making our own.
Go live in a cave and eat dirt. That'll show them who is boss.

9. The dems can't get through the media filter! The only way is for Obama to go on tv
solo and call a conference. The Media will then deride him for doing, disect what he says and twist it to keep the generally misinformed public confused and angry. Poll ratings initially go way up then within two to three days, his poll ratings are down again thanks to media spin!
How many times does Lord Zero have to on TV? Do you want him on 24/7? Never mind.

8. Wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross..
The corporations are paying for it, of course.
I'm not so sure how much they have to "force" us either.
I'm really worried too, Windy.
I have no idea what you said, but it shore sounded purty.

10. No, we're heading that way with little prodding whatsoever
Too many people buying into the two party system, Dems good, 'Pugs bad, without realizing, or not wanting to realize that they're simply different sides of the same corporate coin. Actions that Obama is now undertaking are cheered on the very same Dems that they jeered Bush for doing just a few short years ago.
When it comes to undertaking the radical solutions that are needed to get this country back on the right track, Dems and 'Pugs both deride such actions as crazy, impossible, or worse yet, allowing the "other party" to win.
Meanwhile more and more people are simply lulled to sleep, hey, our guy's in, it's all good. Worse yet, openly heinous actions undertaken by our so called leaders are praised as wonderful change, needed change.
We have been divided and conquered, and far too many people play political games only for the stakes of some sort of "win" for their particular side, when in reality politics is supposed to be about doing the right thing, the just thing regardless of political affiliation.
I have more than a great concern about this country, I've pretty much given up on it and am simply making preparations for the dismal future we face. We are headed towards fascism, and probably some sort of civil war, genocide, revolution of some combination of the above. Sure, I still vote, but my vote is now based on what I think is the best for the country, not what is best for the party. My support for this party has sunk to an entirely new low and I'm simply not going to play the "lesser of two evils" game anymore.
Wow. It almost sounds like you've been listening to Glen Beck talk about progressives in both parties ruining America.
