CNN Poll: Tea Party Bigger Than You Think

February 17, 2010

Tea Party Bigger Than You Think

A new CNN/Opinion Research survey finds that roughly 11% of all Americans say they "have actively supported the Tea Party movement, either by donating money, attending a rally, or taking some other active step to support the movement."

Another 24% of the public generally favors the Tea Party movement but has not taken any actions such as donating money or attending a rally.

I tried to watch CNN today, and had to shut it off.
It was pathetic....the lies and the arrogance were too much
for me to bear. No discussion on the Hypocrisis (sic) of the Republicans,
just acting like the Recovery Act might have worked or maybe not.
It was pitiful!

Wow French***** is really trying hard to overtake Pam as the top primitive, I have seen some serious stoopid from her lately.  Its probably the only thing she's ever worked hard on to accomplish in her entire life.

Imagine the numbers if they polled real people and not just those who watch CNN.

It's in BN--a Tea Party-endorsed Republican has taken a New York State Assembly seat away from the Dems in a special election.  The Dems held it since 1996.  It's only the third time a Republican has held that seat (NY AS-3, Eastern Long Island) in the last 37 years.  If they can do that in a suburb of NYC, the tsunami is approaching the Dems fast.

I agree.   The Tea Party is taking the country back.  One seat at a time.

I'm starting to suspect some desperation, some cold sweat, on the part of the Stenchy Cat primitive.

The frog kitty primitive is one of the top 5 cult following cheerleaders of Dear Leader on the island, ergo her stupidity is going reflect on why she's in that position.

If the primitives could think, the tea party being popular makes sense.  People in general are PO'd at both the Dems and the Republics, so why not try something different?  As some point you've got to figure it's worth a try.

While I don't take the movement all that seriously, I think we can dent the numbers and reduce them further....

Really, Forkboy?  How are you going to do that?  With your very own powers of persuasion and soaring rhetoric? Good luck with that.

I see that Warpy has a plan for how to persuade a tea person to change sides and come into the fold of the DU.  Get in their face, one-on-one, and yell:

Quote
When they start ranting about welfare people dragging the country down, remind them it's the BANKERS who got greedy and caused the crisis. When they talk about high taxes, remind them it's the CORPORATE BOSSES MAKING MILLIONS who are holding their wages down and sending the good jobs they used to have offshore.

That's just one big ball of non-sequitors right there.

BTW, I've observed a whole boatload of teaparty signs.  I don't recall one of them complaining about welfare people.  Have any of you?  An honest question.

I'm only interested in one seat. Bela Pelosi occupies it at the moment.

She can keep her aisle seat. I want the speakers seat. In a anti incumbent year and all house seats up for re election, we only need to become he majority party in the House. It's doable.

Yes it is.  The House is where, according to the Constitution, all spending bills originate.  Then again, the Dems aren't exactly letting the Constitution get in their way now, are they?

I didn't know what a "hypocrisis" was so I put it into google and found this definition:

Exaggerating the gestures or speech habits of another in order to mock him. A form of parody.

I don't know, maybe if Republicans did use hypocrisis to mock the Obama agenda, it might be funny.  "Let me be clear..."

There are some wonderful areas around San Francisco that are still in her district though   :uhsure:  San Francisco would be great without the liberals, think we could get them all to move to LA?

Too risky.  Half of 'em would get lost and put down roots in the nice, clean self governing areas in between (red counties), and then there goes the neighborhood.

I say we just take off and nuke the whole site from orbit.  It's the only way to be sure.
