President Barack Obama took another dig at Las Vegas at his New Hampshire town hall Tuesday after similar remarks got him into hot water last year.

Obama said that people should not "blow a bunch of cash in Vegas" during a tough recession. Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman called for Obama to apologize after he made comparable comments last February.

"When times are tough, you tighten your belts," he said at the forum." You don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don’t blow a bunch of cash in Vegas when you’re trying to save for college."

The president targeted Las Vegas last Feburary at a town hall in Elkhart, Ind. when he was asked about corporate responsibility.

Eff.  YOU.  Obama.  I'm gonna "blow" money (which I EARNED and didn't take from the mouths of others) and enjoy myself, within limits I have already set.  I am not spending 40 percent more than I have, I am not increasing taxes on everyone to pay for a $3.8 TRILLION dollar spending spree.

And if you want to talk about fiscal responsibility, Zero, what about your little "date night" to NYC?  What about that $4K a DAY Hawaiian home?  Or the $30K per week house on Martha's Vineyard?

Friggin hypocrite.

I hope the people of NV remember this when it's time to go to the polls. Lot of those Dems in NV rely on the tourist industry to make a living.....and their Savior just kicked them in the teeth.

He must have a family member with a gambling problem the way he goes after Las Vegas....

Lots of those Dem in Vegas that rely on tourism are also union members.

I think he meant to say "when times are tough - all of you should tighten your belts so I can spend more."

President Barack Obama is clarifying comments he made Tuesday afternoon after being heavily criticized by state lawmakers.

During a speech in Las Vegas the president said people who are trying to save money shouldn't be going to places like Las Vegas.

After several lawmakers issued scathing statement about the president's remarks, President Obama sent a brief note to Nevada Senator Harry Reid.

The note was then forwarded to local media outlets:

             I hope you know that during my Town Hall today, I wasn't saying anything negative about Las Vegas.  I was making the simple point that families use vacation dollars, not college tuition money, to have fun.  There is no place better to have fun than Vegas, one of our country's great destinations.  I have always enjoyed my visits, look forward to visiting in a few weeks, and hope folks will visit in record numbers this year.

He's going to Vegas in a few weeks?  Hell he's been in FLA and NH in the past week, and in March he is traveling with the family to his boyhood Madrassa .
