Dem Candidate for TX Gov

Muslim candidate for Texas governor claims he’s not Muslim (video)

Why deny it? Perhaps taking a lesson from the current president’s campaign? Perhaps trying to distance himself from another Muslim in Texas still somewhat fresh in the news – the Ft. Hood killer? From the Houston Chronicle, Muslim? No. Quaker? No. Even worse?

Farouk Shami, the Houston hair care magnate running for governor, wants you to know that he is not a Muslim.

He also wants you to know that he is not a Quaker.

One more thing he wants you to know: The Texas media, possibly out of “something darker and racially motivated,” is engaging in a disservice to Texas Democrats by promoting a “media sideshow surrounding Shami’s religious beliefs.”

The confusion about Shami’s religion was sown by the candidate himself and his campaign.

Debbie Schlussel exposed Shami as “a vehemently anti-Israel Palestinian Muslim,” and posted a video of Shami expressing full support and pride in being ‘Palestinian.’

Farouk Shami was an awardee and honoree of the anti-Semitic American Task Force on Palestine (which believes all of Israel is “Palestine”)–the the video below, and he supports illegal alien amnesty.  He wants to employ Mexican aliens at his Texas plants and get them “working papers.”   He says we Americans have too much, and it’s “not fair” to the Mexicans.

He'll go over great down here.

HI,

Perhaps someone should take him to Dallas to a certain memorial and suggest he drop out of the race and shut up.

His beliefs should make a whole lot of folks want to run out and buy his products........

Bet he hires the illegals and pays them like they were part of the UAW in Detroit too.

regards,

The other Dem is one of the worst mayors Houston ever had, Bill White.

I am gonna go out on a limb, and say that it will be Perry vs. White at the end.  With Perry winning.  Just my armchair QB guess.

How does he poll amongst his constituents?

Cuz from the sounds of this thread the dems are offering one of two choices: A) a steaming pile of shit or B) dried out turd.

Honestly couldn't tell you.  The only buddy I have in Houston is a Moonbat Extraordinaire, so I know if I ask her, it is all Rainbows and Unicorns.  Kinky Friedman dropped out of the race before it began.  He thought he would be better off running Dem than Independent.  That worked out worse for him.
